IIFM WAT topics are mostly abstract. For the PI section, the most common question is ‘Why IIFM?’ You need to have a clear answer for why this course fits into your life’s aspirations, and why are you a good fit for the program. Other than this, most of the questions asked in the PI section will revolve around your background, your past academics, and your SOP. There can be some questions on environment-related current affairs as well.
The GD topics will be basically general topics. Following are the list of GD topics asked during the process:-
WAT topics/Essay topics asked by the panelists are:-
As you are an Electronics Engineer, questions will be based on your technical expertise which is based on fundamentals. Be very specific regarding the choice of words, as there can be follow-up questions to your answers.
“Getting into your dream B-school is just stupid luck”, these words might sound like they are directed to scare you off but trust me, you will always find students who will tell you tales about how their interview went horribly wrong and still they made it into their dream college.
Scoring marks in your MBA entrance and getting into the right B-school are two different things. If you’re someone with a gap year, I’d personally suggest you stop looking for justifications for the gap years and, rather focus on the things that define you as a person and as an ideal candidate for that particular institution.
Times are different now, and your gap year will matter to a certain extent. If you’re asked for clarification, you could follow two paths; either start with the original story (a bit polished ) or start telling how the gap year affected you personally and your learnings.
In my experience, I have yet to come across anyone who has had trouble only because of their gap year. Again, it is somewhat subjective and will also depend on the number of years you were “idle”.

IIM Calcutta is undoubtedly one of the most difficult colleges to gain admission to among the Holy Trinity of IIM ABC (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta). As a matter of fact, it's no surprise that passing the PI at IIM C is a difficult task.
The first step in the hiring process at IIM C is a Written Ability Test, followed by personal interviews. It lasts approximately 20 minutes. The word count is limited to 200. WAT has three Panellists.
The personal interview lasts 20-30 minutes, with 2-3 interviewers seated to take your questions. They inquire about you, your visions, and your stance on specific issues. They want to know about your abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as your points of view. Students are questioned on the most recent debatable and controversial topics or issues in order to assess their understanding of current events.
In such a situation, you should put on your best smile and keep your cool. It is critical to remain calm and composed in order to respond to the best of one's abilities.
For admission into M.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar, students are shortlisted on the basis of their GATE score. This institute conducts a written test and an interview to select the shortlisted student for admission. There is no negative marking in the test and the subjects covered for ECE are Communications, Signals, EMT, Digital, Analog, EDC, and Maths.
The pattern of the written test is as follows:

You may have the interview on the same day or the day after the written test. The interview takes about 15-20 minutes and the interview panel will have at least 4 members. Questions asked during the interview are mostly from your B Tech project, your choice of subject. If you get selected, the institute will let you know via email after a few days.
