IIT Madras offers  an undergraduate online certificate course for candidates who have passed their class 12. This is a Bachelor of Science in Programming and Data Science. This undergraduate online course is a three-year course which is divided into six semesters.

• The applicants are expected to have studied Mathematics and English in Class 10.

• The qualifier process has 4 weeks of coursework based on lecture videos, assignments, and live sessions of the four foundational level courses - English I, Mathematics for Data Science I, Statistics for Data Science I, and Computational Thinking - that will be provided through the online portal.
