VGSoM (IIT Kharagpur) conducts its MBA admissions in two phases-

1. First, candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview round. The applicants are shortlisted for PI based on their CAT scores, past academic performance, work experience and professional qualification. Gender diversity factor benefits female candidates, providing them with certain extra points.
2. The final selection of the candidates is then done on all the factors listed above, with the inclusion of their PI scores.

Here is the minimum CAT score required for expecting a call from IIT Kharagpur for the PI Round:

If you are a general candidate, you can hope for an interview invitation call from IIT Kharagpur at 90-98 percentile. But because the shortlisting is done on the basis of various factors, these cutoffs are not sure to get you a call for MBA admissions.

The IIT Delhi PhD. admissions are based on personal interviews conducted by the concerned department/center. The applications for IIT Delhi PhD. admission 2024-2025 were available in March 2024 at https://owncloud.iitd.ac.in/nextcloud/index.php/s/YQW7tbrr8MwbxG7.

The last date for submission of online applications was 08 April 2024 (4 p.m.) for national and international candidates. The written and personal interview for national candidates was scheduled for 15-16 May 2024. The personal interview for international candidates was conducted in a virtual mode. The date, time and link was shared on their registered email ids.

The eligibility criteria for IIT Delhi PhD. admissions is- min. 60% marks or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale in the qualifying exam (M.Tech./M.E./M.D or equivalent). The eligibility for B.E or B. Tech or equivalent qualifying degree is min. 70% marks or 7.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. IIT Kharagpur is one of the best institutions in India. It is ranked 6th in the NIRF 2023 Ranking for Engineering Category. CSE is the best branch at IIT kharagpur, followed by Manufacturing Science and Engineering. This is the opinion of my friend who is studying B.Tech (Hons.) CSE from IIT Kharagpur.

CSE offers the best placements out of all the engineering branches, and it has greater career opportunities. This is the reason why it is a highly sought after branch at not just IIT Kharagpur, but most of the engineering colleges in India.

IIT Dharwad is a better choice when it comes to the new IITs. IIT Dharwad has a well-designed curriculum for the students which takes into account the industry requirements. According to the 2023 NIRF Ranking, IIT Dharwad has ranked 93rd under the engineering category. IIT Dharwad also has great placement opportunities. Out of the 200 registered students in the placement session of 2024, 63 students have been placed. The highest package is around INR 52 LPA and the average package is INR 12.63 LPA. Top recruiters include IBM, Jio, Paytm, Cred, Makemytrip, etc. The average fees of the IIT Dharwad courses range between INR 10,000 to INR 10,00,000.

Among IIT Bhilai, Goa, Jammu and Dharwad, IIT Dharwad is the best option. In 2023, Dharwad was ranked 93rd in the NIRF Engineering Category. Multiple courses are offered by IIT Dharwad. The range of courses includes B.Tech/B.E, B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Tech/M.E., MS and Ph.D. The course fees at IIT Dharwad lie between INR 10,000 to INR 10,00,000. This institute also has good placement opportunities. In 2024, the highest package is around INR 52 LPA. Every year top corporate companies visit the college to recruit the students. These companies include Cred, IBM, Paytm, Jio, Makemytrip, etc.

IIT Hyderabad offers an excellent curriculum for Mechanical Engineering.

First I need to point out that IIT Hyderabad does not offer any kind of MBA program.

• IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madars and IIT Delhi accept students from non-engineering backgrounds to take admission in the MBA program.
• Only students from a science background, engineering and non-commerce background are offered admission.
