I have scored above 90 in class 10th but I got 79.5 % in class 12th. My college record is decent. Do I stand a good chance at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore or IIM Calcutta?
If your CAT score is above 99.90 percentile, you will have a decent chance of getting an interview call from IIM Calcutta.
IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore assign good weight to past academic records for the interview shortlist. You need to have a consistently good record throughout your 10th, 12th, and graduation to get a call from IIMA and B. Having relevant work experience of a minimum of 2 years is also important if you are targeting IIMB.
Which college should I choose - IMS BHU or KGMU Lucknow?
In my opinion, IMS BHU is a better option than KGMU Lucknow. Here are a few strong reasons to support my opinion
- IMS BHU is under the central government, unlike KGMU which is under the State Government. So it’s not affected by the unpredictability of different rules brought by the government.
- IMS BHU has only a smaller batch size than KGMU which translates to better student-teacher ratio and also more exposure.
- IMS BHU has an internal PG reservation while KGMU has a State reservation. PG reservation isn’t very appealing because most toppers choose AIIMS.
- IMS BHU is under the central government so it offers more stipend as compared to KGMU.
- KGMU has a more urban life while Varanaari offers a more traditional and peaceful life perfect for nature lovers.
- IMS BHU Medical ranking by Outlook is 2 out of 13 colleges in India in 2023 while that of KGMU is 4 out of 13
- KGMU’s biggest con is the rural service bond of 2 years for UG while IMS BHU does not have any rural service bond because it is not under the state government.
- KGMU has a better infrastructure surrounded by a green campus.
Both the colleges are excellent in their own way but if I had to choose one, I would have chosen IMS BHU.
Why would I prefer NMIMS Navi Mumbai over NMIMS Bangalore for MBA?
NMIMS Bangalore is definitely a better choice than NMIMS Navi Mumbai considering its superior location in contrast to NMIMS Navi Mumbai. Located in the silicon valley of India, the students of NIMS Bangalore are exposed to a number of live projects, case studies, and Industry visits. The student's overall development is given importance and their passion is promoted through clubs and committees for almost everything. Here are some solid reasons to prefer NMIMS Bangalore to NMIMS Navi Mumbai
- Location: Navi Mumbai is a well-developed city with excellent infrastructure, making it easier to commute and access resources. Bangalore is also a major metropolitan city, but traffic and congestion can be a challenge.
- Curriculum: While both campuses offer a rigorous MBA curriculum, the focus areas may differ. Navi Mumbai has a strong emphasis on finance, while Bangalore has a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Faculty: Both campuses have experienced faculty members, but each campus has its own unique mix of professors and industry experts.
NMIMS Bangalore is the youngest school to receive AMBAA accreditation and is soon going to become one of the best B schools.
Is it really worth studying in Athena school of management? Is ITM Mumbai better than Athena or is Balaji Pune better among both?
Since my cousin studied in Pune and Mumbai both can answer this question better. Here is what she has to say about it. In terms of Management Studies, Mumbai can be considered as a better option than Pune. It is because Mumbai is the corporate and financial capital of India.
Now, when comparing Athena School of Management and ITM Business School, the events can be different,
- Location: Athena is located in Powai, which is mainly a corporate hub in Mumbai, while ITM is located in Kharghar which is not basically Mumbai.
- Faculty: The faculty of Athena are known to be the Top Corporate executives. ITM, on the other hand, has a faculty of academicians and several retired corporate professionals.
- Directors: The director of Athena is a former SP Jain and Wharton alumnus. Meanwhile, the dean of ITM is from Lucknow University.
- Internships: Athena provides multiple internships to students, i.e., one in each semester. In contrast, ITM only offers one.
- International Exposure: While Athena provides Two International immersions, in Singapore and Germany, and an Optional International Internship; ITM only offers One International Immersion typically for just certain specializations (International business only).

Which engineering college should I choose among VIT, SRM, Amity, Amrita, LPU, KIIT and Manipal for CSE?
VIT, SRM, Amity, Amrita, LPU, KIIT and MAHE are all good universities. As a BTech CSE Student at LPU, I can share a personal account. LPU has ranked amongst the Top 50 in the NIRF Engineering Rankings. The B.Tech CSE course is one of the top UG Engineering courses offered by LPU.
The course curriculum is updated and well-structured. It meets the global industrial needs, and is taught by a good faculty. The teaching staff is knowledgeable and guided us well. It competes with top Indian as well as International universities.
Apart from the above mentioned, some of the other points as a student of LPU, why BTech CSE is a good option here, are listed below.
- LPU has tie ups with various universities and organizations. It has really good labs with the updated softwares to provide students with the necessary practical exposure alongside their theory.
- Students also get access to online study material such as research journals, annual reports, and other business dissertations for their projects.

What is the best distance learning MBA Program: Symbiosis Pune, IMT Ghaziabad, NMIMS or IGNOU?
IGNOU has an international reputation because it serves over 3 million students and offers over 200 courses. It is the world's largest university. In the long run, their curriculum is worthwhile, and there are very few negative reviews on IGNOU MBA online.
Symbiosis, IMT, and NMIMS each have their unique value and attractiveness in terms of employment. Regardless, if you end up learning the subject to the best of your ability, the university name serves only as decoration on top of the dish.
MBAs are well-suited to leadership roles such as managing a team. Your decision to work in your chosen field of engineering, where you will learn concepts such as how a company hierarchy works, its SOP, customer service, and so on, is a good one. This will provide you with a fresh perspective on the value and/or necessity of an MBA.
Work experience combined with an MBA from a government-approved university will be extremely beneficial (SMU is a big no-go area). Work experience always provides more comprehensive and valuable knowledge than books and degrees. Pursue excellence, and success will always follow.
Which is better: VTU or autonomous?
Autonomus colleges under VTU are better. These colleges shave the autonomy to frame their syllabus, academic calender, curriculum, and evaluation methods. In comparison to VTU, you can score better. The overall learning experience is better.
RVCE, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, and BMS College of Engineering are among the most reputed autonomous colleges under VTU.
Which is better NIT Jamshedpur or NIT Bhopal?
One of my friends has graduated from NIT Bhopal and knows the ins and outs of the college. Its infrastructure, its internal politics, quality of education, mess facilities, and against all odds its successful placements record.
Apart from just this, there are other factors that make NIT Bhopal more acceptable as compared to NIT Jamshedpur.
- NIT Bhopal will be a better choice as its reputation is higher than Jamshedpur.
- The placements in NIT Bhopal are better than NIT Jamshedpur.
- Faculty are experienced in both but I will say NIT Bhopal has its extremity.
- When we talk about infrastructure NIT Bhopal again wins it here. Against the dilapidated hostels of NIT Jamshedpur is the modest, home-like, hostels of NIT Bhopal with a 24x7 power supply.
- Moreover, the mess is the place where half of the major fun takes place.
Discussions, criticizing the teachers and the grading system, curse surprise tests all this amidst “enjoying” the mess food.
Which is better, PIBM Pune or MILE Pune?
I can give you some insight into PIBM Pune since I have some close friends attending the institute.
To begin with, talking about Indian Academy of Empowerment and Education (IAEER), is an institute established by a team of excellent business leaders.

Which one is better, MSIT IPU or DU CIC?
One of my friends is currently pursuing B.Tech at CIC DU and he applied for MSIT IPU as well. Firstly CIC is not a college and more of an Innovation Centre or Entrepreneurship Cell whereas MSIT is a college that uses the same mechanism procedure.

The difference lies in the approach of how they educate and guide students.
- CIC DU being an innovation hub is focused on different aspects of research, startups, and the linkage to the real-life aspects of the problem and their suitable solution.
- It mainly focuses on the practical aspect and encourages knowledge to be used in daily tasks.
- They have world-class labs which are better than almost any college. It has a well-developed Robotics lab with 3D printing which stands out.
- There is continuous funding from Delhi University for all the research work, startups, projects, and everything.
- During summers compulsory internships are said to be done so as to give better exposure to the students for the lying problems.
When compared to other colleges, the syllabus is a lot more than normal colleges. Students have the task of at least 6 projects per semester with learning more than 5 languages and different simulations at a time like Scilab, Matlab, C++, etc.
CIC might not have a placement cell that backs you up with projects and careers but if you work hard independently there, you can definitely secure a job.
