How is ISB Mohali campus compared to the Hyderabad one in terms of student quality, placements and education?
It’s hard to draw a differentiating line between the two campuses.
Peer Group:
The admission committee selects the incoming class and distributes it across the two campuses. So, you will get a similar peer group at both campuses.
Placements:
ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali conduct placements as a single school. Fore placements, students of one campus fly down to another. Students also don’t mention their campus on their CV. ISB Mohali placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 34.07 LPA.
Education:
The quality of education and pedagogy are the same for both campuses. The faculties shuffle between the campuses and there are guest faculties from reputed B-Schools like MIT, Kellogg, LBS, etc.
At ISB Mohali, you will get almost the same academic experience as ISB Hyderabad.
Which is better: IIITDM Jabalpur or IIITM Gwalior (in all aspects)?
Firstly, there is no doubt that IIITMG has a better reputation, placement record, and facilities as it is nearly 8 years older than IIITDMJ. But this is only one side of the coin and most people don't see the other side of the coin. Let me show you these in broader aspects
Talking about placements, IIITM G may have a better placement record but we also must not forget that we are comparing graduates with undergraduates. We are comparing a student with a dual degree to a student with a single degree and hence this comparison is not fair.

Coming to the dual degree, you must think twice before enrolling in a dual degree course. 2 cases may are:
- First case: If you want to earn as soon as you are graduated, but a dual degree doesn't give you this freedom and you are forced to study for an extra 1 year before you start with a job. If you get a whooping package then it's fine otherwise it is just a waste of time.
- Second Case: You want to go for further studies. In this case, it may seem that a dual degree is a blessing but if you think about it, then you may think that you are limiting your chance of doing a master's from any other and better college. For example, if someone graduated from a 4-year program and did his master's from IIT-B then it's a win-win situation for him.
- Third Case: If you want to go for an MBA, then you are saving yourself from appearing in CAT and GMAT, but this is the same as above. You are losing your chance to get an MBA degree from IIMs.
I will advise you to have a deep discussion with your parents, go through some articles and then decide which one is good for you.
Which among BIT, Mesra and MIT, Manipal is better in terms of academics, placements, faculty, internships, infrastructure, hostel and overall personality development?
Here are some points of differences between BIT Mesra and MIT Manipal based on a few uncommon parameters
- BIT Mesra is way behind Manipal in terms of infrastructure. So you can expect a better campus life and facilities at Manipal.
- Manipal has a more lenient grading system and most students are able to secure > 8 CGPA. BIT Mesra has a relatively tough grading system and securing such CGPA is very challenging. Once you step out of your college, the companies judge you based on your CGPA, and Manipal students will clearly have an advantage over BIT Mesra.
- Both colleges have equally good placement scenarios and alumni who pursued Masters and Ph.D. in top colleges around the world.
- However, BIT Mesra has a much more extensive alumni network that spreads across the world. You will find BIT Mesra alumni almost everywhere. This is a major reason why you should consider BIT Mesra over Manipal.

Which is the better law school in Bangalore or NLU Delhi?
Both NLS Bangalore and NLU Delhi have their share of advantages and disadvantages. Here I will be listing some of them, to give you a better picture overall.
Advantages of studying at NLS Bangalore –
- Located in Bangalore, it gets all the advantages of being surrounded by opportunities.
- NLS Bangalore was the first law school with a five-year course in the country. They have a top-notch alumni network.
- It is the most recognized law school in the country.
Disadvantages
- Admission to NLS Bangalore is very difficult.
- Bangalore is not the center of law in India, unlike Delhi. You may have less opportunity to make your mark, as you might get overshadowed by others.
Advantages of studying at NLU Delhi –
- It is a new and more dynamic law school.
- Delhi is the best location for a law school. You have the Supreme Court, the High Court well as the District Courts. It is the seat of government and the parliament is situated there.
- You have all the law firms and best lawyers to intern under. Most of your seminars and conferences would be held nearby.
Disadvantages –
- NLU Delhi was established in 2008 and hardly has any legacy to boast of.
- Delhi is not exactly known for its professional culture, whereas law as a profession is very professional and demanding.
One thing you should keep in mind is that while your institute of education makes some difference, the difference is never so big that you cannot overcome it with your hard work.
As compared to SIBM, Pune, where does SCMHRD, Pune stand?
SIBM Pune has a slight edge over SCMHRD. It is the first campus of Symbiosis and has a legacy of more than four decades. It has a wider and stronger alumni network. The cutoff for the two campuses varies only by 0.2-0.4 percentile with SIBM having the higher cutoff most years.
SIBM Pune placements have been pretty good over the last few years. According to the placement highlights of 2022, the average CTC offered to the students was INR 23.06 LPA. The highest CTC offered was INR 45.5 LPA.

It’s normal for you to get confused between DU and IPU. Both are well-reputed universities with high cutoffs. Choosing one of them can be made easy if you go through these differences:

Colleges: DU colleges are famous for their high cutoffs. If you have scored 97 and above you will surely get admission to an A-grade college. But anything below 97 (even a 95) will send you to a B-grade college. So it’s better to study in an A-grade college at IPU than in a B-grade college of DU.

Which is better: IISc, Bangalore or NUS, Singapore?
In terms of the world ranking, IISc is way behind from NUS. In QS world ranking IISc is ranked at 185th position whereas NUS is at 11th position.
NUS covers a wide variety of courses like Business, Arts and Social Sciences, Computing, Dentistry, Design and environment, Duke-NUS Medical School, Engineering, Integrative Sciences and Engineering, Law, Music, Public Health, Public Policy, etc. Whereas in IISC there are two centers- Science and Engineering. Both of them provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. IISC mainly focuses on research work and provides only BS degrees at the bachelor level. NTU also has limited courses at bachelor level like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
NTU has good professors and has much better infrastructure, facilities, and global exposure. Because of this, the fee is very high in NUS if compared with IISc. The students are expected to deliver rather than understanding the basics. They have to study advanced subjects in the first semester itself at NUT.
IISc is best if you want to stay in India. But if you want global exposure then go for NUS.
How is SPJIMR's placement report better than IIMs including IIM Calcutta and as good as IIM Ahmedabad (both Average and Median)?
Here are a few possible reasons why SPJIMR placements are better than or equally good as IIMs
- SPJIMR has a much smaller batch size in comparison to IIMs and thus the average rises.
- SPJIMR has a very rigorous selection process that filters the best students and the recruiters are well aware of this.
- SPJIMR enjoys a great location maximizing the exposure and opportunities rendered to the students.
- The students perform exceptionally well in the placement interviews and thus secure high packages.
It's important to note that these reasons are just based on speculations and it cannot be exactly determined why some placements are better than others.
Which has a better campus: the IIM Ahmedabad or the IIT Bombay?

- It is even considered bigger in size than IIM Ahmedabad
- It has 2 natural lakes and a number of cliffs within the campus.
All this makes the IIT Bombay campus one of the best in the country. We can conclude that both campuses are excellent in their own parameters. While IIT Ahmedabad offers the best hostel facilities, IIT Bombay has the best campus ambiance.
