As per LPU’s latest admission guidelines, a student must score min. 60% aggregate marks in +2 with English, Physics and Maths to be eligible for B.Tech admissions at LPU. They must also qualify LPUNEST for admissions into B.Tech. With your 12th and LPUNEST marks, there is a decent chance of you getting admission into B.Tech CSE at LPU. 

But it will depend on the final cutoff list from LPU. The University will inform you about your chances of getting into your desired stream. The competition for B.Tech CSE is always high because of a huge number of candidates who wish to opt for this program.

I am currently studying at LPU, and I can assure you that the university takes ample initiatives for the personality development of its students. 

The curriculum at LPU includes core subjects as well as communication, analytical and soft skill courses for the personality development of students. This in return, works to increase their employability. Both credit and non-credit based soft skill courses are taught to the students to increase their interpersonal skills and placement ability. 

These courses are known under the umbrella term of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP). Through these courses, the students are prepared well so that they can succeed during placements. PEP lectures start from semester 1 and continue till the final semester. Moreover, the university conducts extensive training sessions to prepare students for the placement season.

Lovely Professional University does not offer a B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering. But you can opt for B.Tech Chemical Engineering at LPU.

Petroleum Engineering is a subset of Chemical Engineering. Chemical Engineering deals with the use of Chemistry to create novel compounds, food, fuel, and medications. A Chemical Engineer can work in the Petroleum Industry as well. 

Both Government and Private sectors have openings for Chemical Engineers. As a Chemical Engineer, you can work in various sectors like- Process Design for Fire and Explosives, Food Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Thermo-Fluids, and more.

The Chemical Engineering faculty and curriculum are both good at LPU. Thus, I would suggest you consider B.Tech Chemical Engineering at LPU. 

The MCom course from Christ is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree that teaches students about commerce, business, accounts and finance. To get admitted to this course, you will need to meet the minimum criteria of 50% in graduation. The total tuition fee for this course is INR 1,90,000. If you want to avail of hostel facilities, then you will need to pay an additional amount of INR 65,000. Then the total fees stand at INR 2.55 Lakhs. The M.Com department in Christ is known for providing good placements to its students. In 2023, 90 per cent of the total batch was placed at top companies. The highest salary was INR 21.46 Lakh and the median salary was INR 6.03 Lakh. The top recruiters were Amazon, Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Dell, KPMG, IBM, etc.

Christ accepts the scores of students in the Christ University Entrance Exam(CUET) for the majority of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Then it is followed by a Micro Presentation, a brief personal interview and skill assessment. If you are aiming to pursue B.Tech then Christ also accepts scores in KCET. Also, you will need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of each of the courses under which you want to take admission.
