Admissions to BTech course at VJTI Mumbai (Veermata Jijabai Technological

Institute) are based on CET Cell, Maharashtra score. The eligibility criteria for this course is candidates must pass class 12th with more than 50% marks from a recognised board of education.

I have done my MTech from VJTI and can confirm that placements for MTech graduates are good. Though they are not up to the mark of BTech placements, the college provides good placement opportunities through campus drives. 

MTech graduates generally find placement in core sectors as well as in domains like consulting, IT and research. The college has a strong industry connection and a brand name that attracts many companies for placement. The placement cell also assists MTech students in securing opportunities in top companies. 

Many students from my batch got excellent job offers in MNCs and core companies. Out of my 23 juniors, 20 have also been placed. Overall, the placement situation for MTech students at VJTI is positive. It depends on the specialisation, industry situation and the need of postgraduate students at companies. 

As a BTech CSE passout from VJTI, I can confirm that VJTI has excellent placement opportunities for its BTech students. It is one of Maharashtra's premier engineering colleges and offers good placement opportunities for BTech students. The placement record can vary every year, but it is typically good. 

The 2024 placements are currently ongoing at VJTI. As of now, more than 700 BTech students have enrolled for on-campus placements. A total of 401 BTech students have been placed till now with more expected to grab good offers as the campus drive continues. 

The highest package was secured by a BTech Computer Science student which stood at INR 57 LPA. The average package for the BTech Computer Science branch was INR 20 LPA. The highest placement percentage was recorded by the BTech IT branch at 83% with the lowest belonging to the BTech Production Engineering branch at 26%. Samsung, Google, Amazon, LinkedIn, Deloitte, Infosys and Oracle were some of the top recruiters of BTech graduates. 

MCA at VJTI is a postgraduate program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in computer science. It is a three-year-long course comprising 6 semesters. The curriculum comprises theoretical knowledge, practical sessions and project work through internships. 

The fees for the MCA program can vary annually depending upon the upgrades and changes in the course. Generally, the first-year fees for MCA are INR 87,084. It makes the total fees for the three-year course to be around INR 2.60 Lakhs. You are advised to check the college website for the latest fee updates or contact the admission cell for further details regarding the fees. 

You can take admission to the VJTI MCA course through the MAH MCA CET entrance exam.

MCA is one of the flagship programs at VJTI and as a former student, I can state that admission to its MCA course is pretty straightforward. First of all, you should check whether you are eligible or not for the MCA course. The basic eligibility criteria include a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a UGC-recognised university. 

Once you are eligible for the course, you have to appear in the MAH MCA CET entrance exam. VJTI provide admission to its MCA courses based on the entrance exam. You have to appear in the exam and try to match the MCA cutoff provided by the college. The 2023 MAH MCA CET cutoff for VJTI was 99.55.

Before appearing in the exam, you must register for the centralised admission process (CAP). It is controlled by DTE, Maharashtra. After clearing the exam, you have to appear in the selection process which generally consists of a group discussion and an interview. Every year VJTI takes in around 60 students for the MCA course.

VJTI is one of the best government colleges in Mumbai offering courses like BTech, MTech, MCA and more.
