Even though colleges like LPU, Sharda and Amity spend a lot of money advertising themselves, these private institutions provide plenty of opportunities to their students. It is ultimately the students’ responsibility to make use of these opportunities. Deserving candidates are offered scholarships by these educational institutions.
Private Universities are the face of the modern Indian Education System after the IITs and NITs. The high end infrastructure and research facilities at top private engineering colleges has resulted in projecting India as a center of excellence in higher education. Moreover, the faculty and teaching standards at these institutions are of good quality.
Thus, Lovely Professional University, Sharda University, Amity University, etc. have a good reputation and credibility.
Past Academics are not just mere parameters for admission but they evaluate your consistency in performing well across various academic stages. This signifies your flexibility to adapt and maintain a consistent result. Thus a well-maintained and stable academic record ensures your competency and is given more importance than inconsistency in your academic profile.
Most B-School consider past academic records to ensure the student’s ability to give consistently good results. XLRI too is one such institute, the only difference being that initial shortlisting is not done on that basis. This enables candidates with a valid reason for average past academics to justify their profile. In fact, their justification can even convince the panelists to consider them over other candidates with better past academic records.
The reason I am so confident about this is that my sister told me her batchmates comprised both; students with excellent past academic records and students with below-average academic records. These students managed to seek admission by performing excellently in the post-written process.
So, XLRI does consider past academics but not for initial shortlisting and the overall weightage given to academics is comparatively less than other B schools.
There is no such thing as a best IIT as each IIT has its unique strengths and weaknesses. Here is how I grade the top engineering colleges in India
In reality, what matters more than the college and its brand name is the efforts you invest in making the most out of the resources offered by the college. Your attitude towards academics and passion for success is the driving fuel and the image of the college just adds to the processes.

Certification courses are only worth it if you apply those learnings in your workspace. If you can use the acquired knowledge in your current job role, only then is the course of any value to you.
You can go to platforms like Kaggle to apply your learnings in solving different problems, and even talk about your learnings in future interviews. IIM Rohtak has a brand name, but there are other important things you should consider before opting for the course.
Do some research on the course curriculum, faculty, student feedback and total cost. But first and foremost, try learning financial analytics from platforms like Udemy, Datacamp, Coursera and Edx. Doing so will help you understand the fundamentals of financial analytics before you commit to any certification course from IIMs or the like.
Do proper research from your side before opting for the financial analytics certificate program at IIM Rohtak.
During the orientation at IIT Madras, the professors will enlighten you about this college. You’ll be made familiar with the campus life and activities at IITM.
Other than that, you’ll meet your batchmates, and make some friends. Just like you, the other new students will be filled with excitement and anxiety. You and other new students will be addressed by the Dean and the Director, accompanied by other faculty members or senior students holding PORs.
The Saathi and MiTr stalls will be set up to help you and provide you with some booklets.
For an MBA degree, BIMTECH will be the best option among these. It has a clear focus on management education and also has the backing of Birla group. BIMTECH placements are pretty good for MBA. According to the recent placement drive, around 95.28% of students got placement offers and the average CTC received by the students was INR 8.07 LPA.
FORE School of Management doesn’t have hostel accommodation of its own but it has tie-up with other hostels in the area. Most students are day scholars and stay in nearby PGs and flats.
FORE offers an enviable campus experience. During the first year, you can spend your time after college on campus or hangout with friends somewhere else. Second-year students usually have classes throughout the day.
IBS Hyderabad isn’t a good option for MBA. The placement record of the institute isn’t good. You won’t get a good ROI. The course fee for an MBA at IBS Hyderabad is INR 16.02 lakhs. While the average CTC offered to the students according to IBS Hyderabad placement highlights for 2022 is INR 7.97 LPA.
The student intake is huge. Batch strength for MBA is 1300. So, students don’t get equal opportunities in terms of academics and placements.
