How is IMS Noida for the PGDM course?

PH
Prerna Hegde Posted On : March 15th, 2023
Studied at IMS Noida

IMS Noida is an average college for the PGDM course, but there might be better options out there for you, depending on your percentile and area of interest.

Before choosing a college, check your preferred job profile (sales, HR, finance, core finance) and pursue colleges accordingly. Avoid running behind the package or 100% placement assurance as the job profile's sustainability matters more in the long run. Check the LinkedIn profiles of alumni to get an idea of the job profile and its in-hand salary.

It is crucial to be cautious of brand names too, as you may not enjoy the brand as an employee. For instance, getting placed in a reputed bank may seem like a great opportunity, but the job profile may entail selling banking products like mutual funds, insurance, or corporate credit sales. Hence, checking the job profile of placed students can give you an insight into the work you might have to do after graduation.

In conclusion, before making a decision, research and analyze your options based on your interests, future goals, and job profiles to ensure a sustainable and secure future

How is the PGPBA course (for business analytics) from Great lakes, Gurgaon? Is doing a course or certification helpful for career profile change?

BB
Barkha Basu Posted On : July 6th, 2021
lived in Great Lakes Institute of Management

Analytics is the science of extracting insights from sets of raw data using statistics and Business Analytics used by committed organizations to the data-fueled decision-making process.

You will explore data to find new patterns and relationships between different variables with the help of statistical excavation and structuring by quantitative analysis. Then you will predict the results by predictive modeling and predictive analytics.

PGPBA is a course for executives hence it is scheduled on weekends. It doesn't offer any placement assistance either. But if you're truly inclined, it'll be more like an added skill on your resume. Your excellence with this degree will depend on your work experience and your chosen domain in analytics.

The Business Analytics program is much better than the executive course and if you go for a full-time one, then it'll be even better for your career prospects. Also, Great Lakes does have a good national reputation and the faculty and the syllabus would be the same at all the centers.

This one year Pune PGPBA is a full-time course and part of SCMHRD. You will get a lot of hands-on experience on various processes linked with Marketing, Operations, Risk, Human Resources, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Hadoop.

Is MBA hard to study?

SG
Sakshi Gupta Posted On : March 7th, 2022
B.Tech at Delhi University (2019)

Getting admission to a decent management program can be grueling. But pursuing the course is not that difficult. I know many people from different academic backgrounds, who completed their MBAs at the top 20% of their class.

Although it depends on individuals and how they face challenges. As the name suggests MBA is all about management of time, resources, people, situations. Try to understand the practical aspects of the subjects you study in your course and the course work will eventually become easy. Interacting with teachers and peers, reading current affairs regularly can help you a lot with your studies.
