Here's a rundown of an XIMB interview experience of a student. This is how the interview went.
The student started the GD second after a girl, and three people (including the student) dominated the conversation. After the GD and WAT, the students were asked to sit outside. Interview Duration: 15 minutes.
There were three-panel members, two old professors, and one middle-aged man. The interview panelists were the same for everyone. The middle-aged panelist asked the student to take a seat and AOP asked about the student's CAT/XAT scores. When the student revealed that he only applied through XGMT and not CAT/XAT, the panelists inquired about the student's preference for the BM and HR programs, to which the student answered that BM was his first choice.
The panel asked about the student's interest in HR. When the panelists asked why the student left his job, he answered, and the discussion shifted to his academic scores.
The panelists commented on the student's low academic scores and asked him about the reason for the decline. The student explained that the conversion factor made it look worse than it was, but the panelists pushed back and commented that everyone faced the same issue. The student countered that his semester marks were actually increasing and he enjoyed learning from real-life experiences.
The panelists then asked the student about his other calls, which he revealed. They also inquired about the student's preference if he were to convert all of them, to which the student responded. They then asked the student about his interest in HR and digital marketing, and he provided a detailed explanation. The middle-aged panelist asked the student if he had ever taken a loan, and the student replied that he had not, as his content writing company was small and unregistered. The panel then inquired about loan rates and why fixed deposit rates were low while loan rates were high, and the student explained the concept of banks using the excess amount to fund new loans.
The conversation then turned to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and the student could not recall the interest rates it set. The panel asked the student about his thoughts on Nirav Modi and whether his assets should be sold to recover as much as possible. The student replied that his assets should be liquidated to recover as much as possible.
There are many reasons why someone might choose BITS Pilani over IIT. Some potential factors could include:
Ultimately, the choice between BITS Pilani and IIT will depend on an individual's personal preferences and priorities.
While working part-time in UAE students may earn up to 15 to 20 AED (338 to 450 INR) per hour and 160 AED (3,600 INR) per month. To work part-time students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.2 every semester. International students may work 15 hours to per week 60 hours per month during semesters. During holidays, the students may work 40 hours per week to 160 hours per month.
When talking about IIIT-Kota it has its own pros and cons. Some might like it because of its good CSE placements and brand tag of IIIT or some would like it because of its curriculum. When we talk about the campus of IIIT-Kota it is not up to the mark and some would not feel like belonging there and regret the decision of opting one.
Let’s take a look on pros and cons of IIIT-Kota:
PROS:

CONS:
Lastly, teachers are helpful but the teaching quality is not good. The curriculum of the college is good, and placements are available for both branches. IIIT-Kota doesn’t conduct its own college fest. It’s boring and way too sloppy in this part. Other things except for hostel facilities are all good.
IIIT Vadodara is an Institute of National Importance. This is a tag for which one should compromise certain facilities and take admission here.
Negative factors:
The college does not have a permanent campus or hostel and does not expect to have it in near future.
The new hostel is about 32 km away from this institute campus.
The students have a lot of complaints against the administration, especially the registrar. The administration says that they don’t have enough funds for all the stuff that we require. No one knows where all the money goes.
Positive factors:
One might not get a lot of fun stuff in this college, but if your goal is to be a good Computer Science Engineer at the end of four years then this is the place.
Overall, no matter where students go, it completely depends on the students to get the best out of it.
As you will be spending 4 precious years of your life, it becomes very important to know both the bright and shady sides before choosing it. One of my friends is currently studying at IIIT Vadodara and here are some key highlights according to his first-hand experience.
PROS:
CONS:
Overall, there will be no compromise with the quality of education and company at IIIT Vadodara. However, the lack of campus and underwhelming hostels can be a big issue for many of you.
In IGNOU, none of the faculty members at your regional center or study center will assist you in answering your questions. You must assume everything on your own and act accordingly. If you have any questions about your assignment submission or lab courses, your study center will simply tell you to contact the regional center. And in the regional center, no one will answer the phone, and no one will respond to your emails. If you accidentally sent your document or something to the wrong center, they will notify you after the form submission deadline and tell you that there is nothing you can do and that you must submit the form again in the upcoming semester. Rude teachers will respond to your inquiries. You may feel as if you are studying without paying fees, and the teachers are unconcerned about your problems. They are simply teachers by designation; they have no idea what to do or how to assist students with assignments/labs, etc.
Students are pursuing distance education because they are unable to attend college daily due to their jobs. However, they expect them to travel to a regional center that is not in the same city every month to have our basic questions answered. In terms of projects, they may say in viva that the report should look like this. When you submit the report as instructed the next time, another superintendent will be present to reject it and instruct you to format it as before.
You can benefit from IGNOU degrees if you are self-motivated and hard-working. The study materials are good. Classes are mostly for doubt clearing. You will have to do majority of the coursework on your own. You will have to study regularly to keep up with the assignments, syllabus, and examinations. IGNOU conducts examinations in a timely manner.
The outcome of your degree depends on you. If you work hard and put in the required effort, you can easily score good grades.

The campus life combined with the quality of education offered at BITS Goa is incomparable to VIT Vellore. The Bachelor in Engineering CSE programs of BITS Goa and IIIT Hyderabad are becoming very popular these days. In fact, IIIT Hyderabad is even becoming better than IIT Mumbai just because of this program. As for BITS Goa, it will soon be at par with the Pilani campus in the near future in terms of brand and opportunities.
College life here is very dynamic with vibrant fests like Waves. The college has a well-disciplined campus life. Life at VIT Vellore is pretty dull and full of restrictions. The admissions are unbiased and only 3 major companies visit for bulk placements.
BITSAT requires more academic grounding than VITEEE. BITSAT follows a negative marking system that VIT does not. The level of difficulty of questions of BITSAT was higher as compared to VITEEE.
No matter how many pros VIT has, it cannot be compared to any BITS campus in terms of brand value and academics. So choose BITS Goa!
