Yes, it is possible to get into a top-rank NLU such as NLSIU, NALSAR or WBNUJS, etc. But this all depends on the strategy you have prepared. There are some CLAT achievers who join for a crash course. They study 8 hours a day rigorously. So, to get the same performance in 1 month is nearly impossible.
So, it is suggested that you join the tuition classes for a crash course and dedicate 8 hours of your time to CLAT preparation. Cracking CLAT will only be possible if you work hard.
The better college depends on what you are looking for in your college and your expectations from the degree. If you are serious about studies and aren’t joining college just for the sake of it, here is the preference order for you,
Hindu>Hansraj>Miranda
However, if you are a party lover and want to enjoy your college life to the fullest with minima academic pressure, then Ramjas is the one for you. The college has a very lenient attendance policy and is famous for its laid-back and vibrant campus life.
Hope this helps you make a better decision!
My brother studied in IEM Kolkata and firstly, it is a reputed college in West Bengal, even more than Jadavpur and IIEST Shibpur. The placement rate at IEM is about 80%-90%. On the other hand, UEM is a regular engineering college with only a few defining features. Its fame is because of the fact that it was established by the IEM trust.
If you're keen on choosing between these two, I'd suggest you consider the student intake because if the number is lesser then it's better. For this, you can ask alumni or someone currently studying there. Some students also have a negative view of IEM. The IT department is not as good because my brother's friend is there and claims that the professors do not know even the basics of the program.
So, be very refined in your research before choosing.
The BHU entrance exam for 3 yr LLB is not necessarily very tough. But the pattern of the paper keeps changing so it’s highly unpredictable. Some tips that might help you prepare for the same are
GK- Almost 50% of the paper consists of GK and GS. For this, you have to go through GK statistics. Refer to Arihant Publications and Lucent for the same.
Maths- To prepare for this section, be well-versed with the Maths syllabus till class 10. Knowing the basics and solving problems quickly is the trick here.
Language- This section consists of 30 questions and is the easiest part. Your own command of whichever language you have chosen (English or Hindi) will help you score marks in this section.
Legal- The legal part is full of questions based on principles and facts. These can be practiced from the previous year's question papers.
These tips are more than enough to crack BHU entrance for 3 yr LLB.
Let me clarify the fact that NIT Kurukshetra has the CE or Computer Engineering branch and not CSE. While the former deals with hardware concepts the latter is all about software. The overall branch is decent but not at par with the IT or CSE branches of other institutes. The syllabus is somewhat outdated and so are the labs.
As far as the placements are concerned, the campus is visited by several IT companies like Directi, Amazon, Adobe, CDOT, etc Students often receive PPO and PPI from companies like Flookatt and Microsoft. The placement scenario is similar for IT as well.
Here are the detailed placement statistics:l

One needs to maintain a CGPA of around 8.5+ to secure good packages in CE at NIT Kurukshetra. The institute organizes several fests to ensure extracurricular activities are also conducted. The tech-society TECHNOBYTE organizes a lot of events during fests. Additionally, the GAWDS is a group of web and graphic enthusiasts where you can learn about software development. Frequent workshops for competitive programming are held on campus by the seniors.
Overall, the CE branch at NT Kurukshetra is good with decent placements, hostel facilities, and crowd.
If someone has a passion for engineering, 3rd generation IITs are better than many non-IITs.
This is because the faculty of new IITs is as good as that in the old ones. There’s no compromise at all in the faculty selection process of any IIT. The professors are all genuine and certified experts in their respective fields.
When 2nd and 3rd gen IITs were created, the professors of old IITs were given the choice of continuing beyond retirement. This was done so that no IIT faces a shortage of faculty.
Though the new IITs can’t offer top notch facilities, the learning opportunities in them are good enough. But if packages and placements are talked about, then obviously they won’t be very high for IIT Tirupati in its formative years.
If you’re passionate about engineering, you should consider IIT Tirupati. With talent, skill and passion, you’ll easily land a decent job off campus.

Well AKTU has changed the passing rules for students. The students have to score at least 50% credit marks including theory and practical exam marks. Before this rule, students had to score 60% credit separately in Theory Exam and Practical Exams.
Now credit is something which you get after clearing the exams. Credits are given by combining the internal and external results. And passing the external exam is a must. If you have internal back but you score well in university exams and clear the subject then you will also earn credit.
AKTU Passing Rules:
First/ Second/ Third Year Back Rule are as follows.
Final Year Back Rules are as follows.
Now, these are a few year-back rules in AKTU which you should keep in mind.
Honestly, I believe that more than the institute it is your caliber and dedication level that decides if you will be able to crack USMLE. The AIIMS tag definitely helps but is not the sole medium through which you can crack USMLE.
Here is a shining example that proves my theory. Dr. Nikhil Munshi neither did his MBBS from any AIIMS nor a Delhi college yet managed to crack USMLE. He completed his medical degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine at Shri Sayaji General Hospital and Maharaja University in India. After completing an oncology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, he became a professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as well as an attending physician at VA Boston Healthcare System and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His journey proved that even an average college can produce excellent doctors and vice versa. What you should focus on is yourself and not the institute.
So we can say that studying at AIIMS or Delhi colleges like MAMC gives you an upper hand at USMLE for sure but are not necessary for the same.
Syracuse was once a thriving city and Syracuse University was once considered a “party school”. Things have dialed down in the recent decades and though it may not be the “mad party” school, it still hosts many fraternity and sorority parties. This being a private university, charges a higher fee which translates to a uniformity, both in terms of behavior and looks, among the students attending the school. The “political correctness” being enforced today across universities, has also taken a toll on this university.
The most happening places in Syracuse happen to be Walnut Avenue and Euclid Avenue. Walnut Avenue is known for its greek life while Euclid Avenue is known for house parties. Various sporting clubs, student organizations and sometimes students themselves organize house parties which may or may not be your taste.
The loads of classes are dependent on the major you are doing. The iSchool expects lots of co-op projects in the labs which take a significant chunk of your time. The Whitman School of Business will involve a lot many individual tasks, group tasks, meetings etc. The Newhouse School of Communication students work almost single handedly in the Armory Square building. They do lots of TV, radio work and sometimes work for straight 24 hours to meet deadlines.
In terms of sports, basketball is the most widely played and followed sport here. The Carrier Dome is the mecca for basketball lovers. The Chuck’s Café, Faegan’s Pub, Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar are some other places to hang out with friends.
And finally talking about the weather, the winter is torturous. It receives the amount of snowfall which is higher than the national average. Along with the winter, it is the chilly winds which sometimes can take a toll on your health.
So all in all, the university is full of character and you will enjoy every bit of your life here.
