I have friends in other Thapar and NIT Delhi so I am the right person to answer your question. Based on their experiences, these are the key points of differences I derived

• NIT Delhi has a better location because it is in Delhi. 
• Thapar has a better faculty pool and lab facilities than both NIT Delhi and NSIT.
• Thapar also has an active research culture so if you are a research enthusiast, Thapar is a better option for you. 
• In terms of tag and brand name, NIT Delhi has the upper hand. Thapar University also has a good reputation but mainly in North India. 
• NIT Delhi charges much less fees than DTU and NSIT so it’s the clear winner in this aspect.
• Infrastructure-wise, Thapar University tends to serve better.

Overall, it's a matter of preferences!

My cousin is a student at NIT Delhi currently and claims it to be the best NIT in North India. It provides an excellent platform for research-oriented study and top-notch academics.

The first-year students of all branches are taught the same subjects. From the 3rd year, students have labs for every theory subject. There are approximately 60–70 hour classes of core subjects and 30 hours lab in the same subject. Students are also required to make projects for every lab for which they are even graded. There are around 7-8 subjects in every semester comprising 5 core subjects and remaining computer science, humanities, and applied science subjects. The curriculum is therefore very rigorous and you will have to work extra hard for this branch. 

The branch records great placements every year and students are also offered internships from good companies. An added advantage of studying at NIT Delhi is the close proximity to coaching centers in Delhi.

However, NIT Delhi lacks in terms of cultural activities so if you want to experience a dynamic and fun-filled campus life, you might want to reconsider your decision.

Without any second thoughts, IIIT Lucknow is a fairly better choice than NIT Delhi in terms of infrastructure, coding culture, and placements. Let us consider these criteria individually.

• Infrastructure: NIT Delhi is quite far from the hostels so the commute time is high whereas IIIT Lucknow campus and hostels are in close proximity to each other. It hardly takes 5 minutes to reach the campus from your hostel room. Thus saves time. 
• Coding Culture: IIIT Lucknow has a more extensive coding culture than NIT Delhi. Recently, a team of students from IIIT Lucknow secured 9th position in ACM ICPC regionals. The performance of the recent batches is also testimony to the excellent coding culture.
• Placements: IIIT Lucknow is definitely better in this aspect too given that last year its higher package stood at INR 59 LPA. 

Overall, IIIT Lucknow is easily the better choice than NIT Delhi considering all major aspects.

You need to consider several factors before deciding the best college for yourself. Here are a few factors and the preferred choice if you give preference to that factor alone

1. Alumni : The age of the institute determines how strong the alumni network is which is very crucial for the development of the institute. In terms of the alumni network the preference order should be NIT Jaipur=NIT Kurukshetra> NIT Delhi
2. Placements: The placement scenario is somewhat similar in all the aforementioned institutes. However, NIT Delhi has a slight advantage being in Delhi. The order should be NIT Delhi > NIT Jaipur = NIT Kurukshetra
3. Faculty: In my opinion, NIT Delhi has the best professors.
4. Campus : NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Jaipur have equally beautiful campuses whereas the permanent campus of NIT Delhi is under construction.

Ultimately, the final decision depends on your personal preferences.

Choosing the right college for your undergraduate studies is an important decision and depends on several factors such as your academic interests, location, career goals, financial situation, campus culture, and more.

All three colleges you mentioned, IIIT Bhopal, PEC Chandigarh, and NIT Delhi, are reputable institutions for computer science and engineering (CSE) programs in India. Each college has its unique strengths and weaknesses, and it's up to you to evaluate them based on your preferences and priorities.

IIIT Bhopal:

IIIT Bhopal is a relatively new institution established in 2017, but it has quickly gained a good reputation for its CSE program. The faculty are well-qualified and experienced, and the institute has good infrastructure, including a modern computer center and a well-stocked library.

PEC Chandigarh:

PEC Chandigarh is a well-established institution that has been offering CSE programs for several decades. It is known for its excellent faculty, high-quality research, and industry collaborations. The curriculum is comprehensive and covers a wide range of topics, including software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, and more. The institute has good infrastructure, including a state-of-the-art computer center, well-equipped labs, and a vast library.

NIT Delhi:

NIT Delhi is a prestigious institution that offers a well-rounded CSE program with a focus on practical skills and industry-relevant training. The curriculum covers core computer science topics such as programming, algorithms, and data structures, as well as specialized subjects like machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, and the institute has excellent infrastructure, including a modern computer center, well-equipped labs, and a vast library.

Based on the above information, you may consider the following factors while making a decision:

• Curriculum: Compare the CSE curriculum offered by each institute and see which one aligns better with your interests and career goals.
• Faculty: Look into the qualifications, experience, and research interests of the CSE faculty at each institute and see if they match your expectations.
• Infrastructure: Check out the facilities offered by each institute, such as computer labs, libraries, and other amenities, and see if they meet your requirements.
• Location: Consider the location of each institute and see if it suits your preferences and convenience.
• Campus culture: Research the campus culture of each institute, including extracurricular activities, student clubs, and events, and see if they align with your interests.

Ultimately, the decision to choose one of these colleges for CSE should be based on your priorities and preferences.

I would recommend you go for CSE from better NITs or other institutes like PEC, IIIT, YMCA, and others. Even IIIT Delhi is a decent option if you are considering staying in Delhi only. The reason I am against NIT Delhi so strongly is because it’s new and its CSE course is yet to develop and reach a certain standard. It does have its own campus and the facilities are also very limited here.

• There are serious connectivity issues as the hostel buildings are very far from the main campus. The accommodation facilities are poor and not at par with NIT standards. 
• Being newly established it has a very poor placement scenario not comparable to the old NITs or other institutions like PEC Chandigarh, IIITs, etc.
• NIT Delhi does not have an active coding culture. The timetable is very rigid and the classes are conducted consequently without many breaks.
• The faculty is also underqualified and has only a few good professors. 

Ultimately, I will suggest that if you are seriously inclined towards CS, and are ready to explore endless opportunities in the same,  then consider joining some other NIT than Raipur or Delhi. Go for IIIT Delhi instead!
