Are only Christians allowed in CMC Vellore for MBBS?

A
Admin Posted On : May 3rd, 2024

I completed my MBBS from CMC Vellore in the year 2018 as a Hindu candidate.

I have simplified the MBBS seat distribution system at CMC Vellore for your understanding.

  • Management Seats- 50% of the total are management seats. These are divided into open seats, minority network seats and CMC Vellore staff seats.
  • Government Seats- The remaining 50% seats are filled by the Tamil Nadu Government from the State merit list of NEET UG exam. 30% of these seats are allotted to Tamil Nadu students (this includes other forms of reserved seats).

20% of seats are filled by Christian students belonging to Tamil Nadu.

I have attached a screenshot from the CMC Vellore official MBBS Admission Bulletin 2024 for your reference:

CMC MBBS Seats

So to answer you, CMC Vellore does offer MBBS seats to non-Christian students. But the number of such seats is low. CMC Vellore is a Christian minority institution. For this reason, the majority of its MBBS and PG seats are reserved for Christian candidates. But a small number of seats can be filled by candidates of other faiths as well.

Can an average student get into FMS Delhi with a high CAT percentile? What will be a safe CAT score for an average student to get into FMS Delhi?

S
Sagardeep Posted On : January 8th, 2023

Of course, yes. FMS Delhi is everyone's ideal college. The pattern has been changed, and the paper is now worth 228 points. A score of 115 is sufficient to receive a call from FMS. It is the only tier-1 college that places little emphasis on previous academic performance. If you scored a 99.50 or higher on the CAT exam, you will almost certainly receive a call from FMS. To transfer to college, one must be fluent in English.

The FMS process includes group discussions, extempore, and, finally, a personal interview. In addition, they included an SOP in their selection process. You must describe who you are, your accomplishments in the workplace, and your motivation for pursuing an MBA in a statement of purpose (SOP).

Everyone is interested in FMS because of its large batch size and high ROI. To get into FMS, you must score higher than the 99 percentile. Try your hardest to achieve the highest percentile possible while ignoring your academic records. FMS is the best option for you if your academic performance is subpar. Because the college calls candidates 10 times the number of seats, scoring 99.50 percentile guarantees you a call from FMS. There are 251 seats available in FMS. Simply devote yourself entirely to the preparations and concentrate on increasing your percentile. The higher your CAT exam score, the more likely it is that you will convert.

Why is JBIMS and not IIM A or XLRI, known as the “CEO Factory of India”?

JT
Jayant Thakur Posted On : February 28th, 2023
MSc Finance, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (2019)

It can be affirmatively stated that JBIMS is considered one of the best business schools in India. The trio of IIM A/B/C holds a distinct brand value compared to other top colleges in the country and globally. The brand recognition and respect of the IIM institutes have increased due to its status as an "Institutes of National Importance" and the widespread accomplished alumni base both in and outside of India.

JBIMS boasts an impressive list of notable alumni, including Vinita Bali, the Managing Director of Britannia, Lalita D. Gupte, Chairperson of ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, and Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Bank, India, just to name a few. Moreover, the Managing Directors and CEOs of some of India's largest companies such as ICICI, HUL, Kotak Mahindra, and Piramal are alumni of JBIMS.

Can anybody please tell me what G1, G2, G3, and G4 stand for in NIT Trichy?

There are quite a few disciplines you can choose from when it comes to M.Tech programs at NIT Trichy. To put it straight, G1 is the first group with a few selected disciplines, G2 with another set, and so forth.

The only reason why the college has done this is to effectively manage the total seats available and divide them group-wise.

For example, a particular program having a 30 seat intake can possibly be distributed as G1 with 15 seats and G2 having 8 seats, and the remaining given to G3. This easily helps segregate and understand groups.

Keep in mind that the cutoff varies for each program. The only reason why these groups were created is to allot seats to each discipline.

I am now in MAMC Delhi Should I drop this year to get into AIIMS Delhi I am sure to get selected next year?

MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College

MAMC is a good option and well-recognized in the medical fraternity. You won’t regret joining the institute. Also, in medical field, your institute name won’t matter much. If you want to pursue higher studies after graduation, you need to follow the same steps, irrespective of whether you are graduating from AIIMS or MAMC.

After joining MAMC, you also have the option to prepare for AIIMS next year. It will be difficult, but doable.

How long does Anna University, Chennai take to issue a degree certificate?

RR
Rijun RK Posted On : December 9th, 2022
Studied Industrial Engineering at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India (Graduated 2019)

The degree certificate from Anna University is issued in a convocation ceremony. This ceremony is usually held 7-9 months after the results of the final semester are announced. The maximum period is 1 year within which you definitely get your certificate.

It depends on when the degree certificate reaches your college. Usually, the convocation ceremony takes place in April, March, or February.

You receive your course completion certificate right after your final semester. But to get your provisional certificate, you may need to wait for 3–4 months.

I left IIT Patna electrical and electronics for IIT Roorkee civil. Did I make the right decision?

Yes, you certainly made the right decision by choosing IIT Roorkee over IIT Patna. The biggest reason for saying this is that IIT Roorkee is an older IIT, thus having better opportunities, alumni, and experienced faculty. The career opportunities and exposure rendered by an old IIT cannot be compared to that of a new IIT. Irrespective of the branch you choose, old IITs will help you develop as a person.

Additionally, the IIT Roorkee Civil Engineering branch is considered one of the best Civil branches in India.

Many students prefer average branches like Mechanical and Civil at old IITs to top branches like CSE and EEE at new IITs. So go for IIT Roorkee without any second thoughts.

What is it like to graduate from DCE/DTU?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : July 4th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

As a graduate of DTU, my sister feels surreal reminiscing about her time at the college. College life is lively and you are always busy with something. There ain’t any compulsion to attend classes and you can get involved in a lot of extracurriculars in addition to enjoying the beauty of the campus. She was amazed by the quality of her peers and loved spending time with intellectual people.

The college days are a blend of good and bad experiences. Even the bad experiences have goodness behind them and you are well aware of this and that’s what makes you proud of being a part of this institute. You strive hard to survive and leave with great life lessons, real knowledge, and plentiful skills.

The reality hits you when your last semester exams end and you wait for your job to start. You realize that you won’t ever be able to meet such people and make such memories again. Soon, you get busy with your new life and make new friends. Ghr occasional meet-ups with old friends make you nostalgic but you are able to move on.

After a few years, you realize that because of your initial struggles and what DTU made you, you can now live a comfortable life. You see the thin line between IITians and Non-IITians fading away into oblivion and feel proud of your college. You keep climbing the ladder higher and achieving great heights. Eventually, you adapt yourself to your new life and the occasional talks about DTU fill your heart with warm memories.

How is the integrated MSc in physics at NIT Rourkela?

SB
Sriparna Banerjee Posted On : August 14th, 2023
Studied at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela

I am well aware of the situation of NIT Rourkela Integrated MSc in Physics since my sister is a student there. She shared her horrible experience and does not recommend it to anyone at all.

  • The faculty pool comprises underqualified professors with zero experience and will to reach. They are unapproachable and don’t pay heed to the students' doubts.
  • The curriculum is very rigid and students are offered no flexibility in choosing their electives. Rather they are forced to choose subjects that are only relevant to experimental physics.
  • Students are required to get the signature of the Faculty Advisor, HOD, Asst. Registrar, and Dean even for the smallest official work.
  • The place limits your talents and ambitions so much that all your dreams and talents will be crushed.

My sister regrets wasting 5 precious years on this course and advises everyone to refrain from joining it.
