Which is better, IT/CSE at SOE CUSAT or NIT Manipur CSE?

NIT Manipal CSE is the best option among these. NIT follows a more advanced and application-oriented course curriculum. An NIT degree will be really helpful if you want to pursue higher studies abroad. 

According to the highlights of NIT Manipal placements, students of CSE get an average CTC of around INR 3-4 LPA. Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Infosys, etc. are some of the major recruiters for CSE.

IIT Bhubaneswar CSE is better. It is an older institute with a bigger alumni base. According to the highlights of IIT Bhubaneswar placements 2022, CSE had an average CTC of INR 22.40 LPA. While the highest CTC received by the student of the branch was INR 44 LPA. The placement rate was INR 98.15%.

Easwari Engineering College is a unit of the SRM Group of Institutions and was established in 1996. The college is affiliated to Anna University and accredited by AICTE and NBA. NAAC has graded the institute ‘A’. According to the NIRF Ranking of 2020 EEC ranks at 201 among the engineering colleges of India.

Courses:

Courses available in Computer Science and Engineering at EEC are BE, ME, and Ph.D./ MS (By Research). The total intake for the department has increased to 180 from 60 over the years.

Facilities:

The choice between the two institutes for CS or IT depends on certain basic factors some of which are discussed below in detail.

Ranking:

  • BVP holds an A category in NAAC third cycle conducted in 2017. It has more than 23000 students with 1600+ faculty members. It is a diversified university with students from 48 countries.

  • Manipal University has the 6th rank among all universities in the north zone. Best University in Rajasthan Award 2020 is also rewarded to the institution.

PESIT South Campus and PES University both offer decent programs with good placement opportunities for CSE and EEE respectively. The few factors that you need to consider while choosing the better option is given below.

Admission: The bachelor’s in technology program with a specialization in CSE and EEE are 4-years integrated degree programs. The total numbers of seats available for CSE are 720, whereas the total numbers of seats available for EEE are 120.

  • The selection criteria for admission to the CSE and EEE program is that the candidate should have passed grade 10+2 with an aggregate of 45% along with the submission of the score of KCET, which is the entrance exam that is to be given to get selected directly to the course.

  • The fee ranges from around 3.3 Lacs per annum for the course offered by the university in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) and EEE (Electronics and Electrical Engineering).

Placements: The placement rate of the university stands at 100% providing the placement to all.
