HG
Himadri Gupta Posted On : September 8th, 2022
MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru

2-year MBAs are considered better than 1-year long PGDHRM. But if you are a working professional and you need a flexible course, SIBM Bangalore 1-year PGDHRM is a  good option. You will get decent exposure and networking opportunities. For this course, placements aren’t provided by the institute. But students get good job offers through off-campus placements.

How about studying PGDM SM at Jaipuria, Jaipur?

AC
Amit Chaturvedi Posted On : June 30th, 2021
PGDM from Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur & Indore (2018)

MBA or a PGDM in the Service Management branch, Jaipuria Institute of Management (Jaipur) would be a good choice. With India becoming a service-based economy, these courses have huge potential.

Jaipuria is a reputed name in management education. Recent NIRF ranking suggests it is comparable with IIM Udaipur. Given its legacy in management education, you can expect seamless delivery of the PGDM SM course.

New courses generally have an uncertainty of placements. But this is not a problem for Jai[puria as a vast pool of recruiting companies to visit the placement drive. The institute also successfully secured internship offers for all students of PGDM SM’s first batch.

Also, Jaipuria is truly a student-friendly institute. Help with everything from training, mentoring, coaching, industrial visits, guest interactions, international tie-ups, etc. The faculties are great and go the extra mile for students.

Overall Jaipuria will be a great choice for PGDM SM.

How is IIM Visakhapatnam for an MBA in HR?

JK
Jatin Kumar Posted On : June 21st, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (2018)

Just like the new IITs, this is another one of those so-called IIMs that simply has the IIM name displayed on its building. The credibility of these institutes is severely lacking when compared to both their own students (though I certainly hope not the faculty) and the outside world. And justifiably so. Building up one's credibility and esteem requires time and effort over the course of many years. The ancient IITs didn't become household names overnight; rather, it took its students and staff a couple of decades to make their mark on the world stage, which is why they are known today.

When I go to these types of institutes, I hear students bragging about how fantastic their own school is by mentioning some impressive placement packages that a select few students may have received or by claiming victory in some challenging competitions. I say that you should let the rest of the world judge your excellence. Why do you have to pound your own drum?

Go to XLRI or TISS if you are serious about getting an MBA in human resources. They are unrivaled in this particular industry.
