Is there any opinion about the Uptop certification on cyber security in association with IIM Raipur?
Yes, I do have an opinion regarding the same. This course is the most unprofessional and unreliable course I have come across. People who are looking for better job opportunities need to stay away from this course. This is because the course offers everything but job assistance. You cannot depend on this course and expect offers from companies after completing the program. The brochure provided initially, the various job opportunities are mentioned which is quite misleading.
The course is conducted by the IIM Raipur faculty itself. UpTop has not much connection with the students at all. People join this course eager to switch domains or change jobs. But this course fails to help in any of this. The course is just a source of making free money and misleading people. So if you or anyone you know is going for this course, please stop them before they fall into the pit.

- Perception: Trichy's perception is rapidly expanding. It is fairly obvious from all B-school rankings. So, with the exception of marketing, you can choose IIM Trichy over IIM Ranchi for any specialization. Ranchi's marketing is effective.

Your choice of college depends on your personal preferences and interests. One college might be suitable for you but not for others. So your question is subjective and cannot be answered directly.

I think the best way is to contact students or pass-outs from respective colleges, collect data and then make a decision based on your research and then your preference. You can also look up the official websites of the college to collect relevant data. Find out the parameters that matter to you the most in your choice of college. Some include placements, diversity, location, batch strength, or faculty. Do your part of the research and then choose the college that fulfills the maximum boxes in your priority list.

Which College is better IIM Trichy or Raipur or Ranchi?

The question should be which one is better for me. Because one course might be good for you but not for others while the same course might be good for others but not for you. So check what you want from the course and then decide which one is best for you.
If you are just passionate about digital marketing and are serious about working in an organization for the same, then the MICA program is the best one for you.
But if you want to broaden your options and look everywhere at once, then IIM Raipur is a good choice for you. It’s a good choice because

- Best faculty
- Much better placements
- Student Exchange Programs
IIM Raipur is however not a probable option if you are just into digital marketing. This is because it’s not definite if the placement opportunities offered by the visiting companies match your interests. So make a choice after thorough research and thinking.
Which one should I choose, IIM Raipur or SIMSREE (Sydenham)? I am an average mechanical engineering graduate. I have offers from both of them. Which one should you suggest?
If you choose IIM Raipur you can definitely grab the IIM tag. But in reality, SIMSREE is one of the oldest B Schools and thus has a better plethora of opportunities. Joining SIMSREE is a better choice because

- It is located in Mumbai, the financial capital of India
- 100% placement record
- Amazing ROI
- Small-batch size
- Decent faculty base
You can avail so many opportunities by joining SIMSREE but will only get an IIM tag if you join IIM Raipur. Moreover, you will be burdened with repaying the loan. IIM Raipur might also not have top firms visit the campus for placements due to its location.
So it’s better to join SIMSREE and focus on the technical aspect of an MBA than join IIM Raipur just for the brand name.
Can a student at the IIM Raipur get a placement in Raipur or a nearby city?
Let me be honest, your chances of getting an offer from Raipur itself are very less. My stance can be proved through the following reasons
- Raipur is not a very big city and does not have many top firms that will visit the IIM campus.
- In case a company does visit, you have to get shortlisted and give the interview on the same day. Without proper preparation, you might even flunk it.
- Even with the low chances a company does visit the campus, the chances of your second-year specialization matching with the specialization that particular company is looking for are rare.
- It was extremely difficult to get into an IIM after facing tough competition. In such a case you shouldn’t limit your chances to a single location only.
Broaden your options and trust me once out of IIM you will be brave enough to survive anywhere.
Is the Executive Certificate Program titled "Digital marketing and Social Media strategy“ from IIM Raipur in association with Nulearn worth it?
Whether a program is worth it or not depends on what you want from it. So I will try my best to answer this question generally. Let’s consider some scenarios and see where the Digital Marketing and Social Media strategy program is beneficial and where it’s not.
- If you already have a Digital Marketing role in an organization with 2 or more years of experience. This is because the IIM tag might help you boost your salary package and climb the hierarchy within your organization.
- If you want to switch your domain to Digital Marketing. This Certificate will be beneficial in this case as no matter how much experience you have, you are a fresher in this field. So for such people, it’s necessary that they take up relevant courses according to their current work profile. In such a scenario I will recommend you take up freelancing in Digital Marketing while you continue to work on your core profile. This will ensure that you change your career when you witness growth only.
- If you are a fresher who has just completed their graduation then Digital Marketing Program from a specialized institute is definitely a good choice.
My personal opinion is that specialized institutes are way better than IIMs to start a career in Digital Marketing. Rest is your choice.
