Its Ghaziabad or IMS Ghaziabad which college is better for PGDM?

TP
Tanya Panchal Posted On : February 13th, 2023
BBA from Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad (Graduated 2020)

My friend is a student of ITS Mohan Nagar and he claims the college to be one that gave him ample opportunities and made his dreams come true. The institute promotes the growth of students through enriched knowledge and experiences.

The infrastructure is nowhere less than any top B School and has amenities like a canteen, gym, Complex, Air Conditioned classrooms, library, hostel facilities, excellent Wi-Fi network, and well-run cafeteria.

The institute also takes a keen interest in promoting extracurricular environments. The placement scenario is also pretty decent and roles in all sectors are offered to its students. The campus has a laid-back atmosphere and you can relax anywhere. So if you want to experience a thrilling college life this one's for you.

SS
Shivani Singh Posted On : July 31st, 2021
Studied at SIBM Bangalore (2019)

All these colleges are good in their own way. But being a student of SIBM Bangalore, I would like to share some facts about this college. Taking the decision to study MBA is huge, as you have to check on a lot of things before choosing the right college. Here are some things that make SIBM Bangalore stand out among others.

Batch Size

  • They have a batch size of 200 students. It is very concentrated.
  • This maintains a good student-faculty ratio.

Involvement of Student Bodies

  • There is a huge involvement of student bodies in college fests and activities.
  • They have 11 committees and 12 clubs.

Academic Process

  • The presence of 8 full-fledged Bloomberg Terminals which give you real-time data on the markets and various company portfolios.
  • The pedagogy is a unique blend of classroom sessions and case studies published by Harvard Case Study and Ivey Publications
  • The academic program is really good.
Categories SIBM Bangalore
Course Fee 16.2 lakh
Highest CTC 28 LPA
Average CTC 16 LPA
Recruiting Companies Mindtree, Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, HSBC, etc.

These are some of the things that made me choose SIBM Bangalore over other colleges. Also try researching about the other colleges also and then make an informed decision.

What is Sustainable Management? How is the PGPSM course offered by IIM Lucknow? What are the prospects?

RS
Rishi Sharma Posted On : January 16th, 2023
Studied Sustainability & Management, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (Graduated 2019)

Long-term survival is a key component of sustainability. Providing for the needs of the present generation without compromising those of future generations is what is meant by the phrase "sustainable development," which is also related. Sustainable management is a managerial approach to ensuring long-term viability and development.

IIM Lucknow is the first IIM to offer this course. It is available at the IIM Lucknow Noida Campus. Finance, marketing, strategy, economics, organizational behavior, ethics, and some subjects related to sustainability and CSR are included in the course (Corporate Social Responsibility). A 70:30 ratio roughly represents the distribution of general management and sustainability-related subjects.

Companies will need managers who are knowledgeable about sustainability for successful strategy and market leadership as a result of growing awareness regarding the environment, entitlements, climate change, rapidly changing energy mix, etc. Sustainable Management provides a great opportunity for talented individuals. The first batch's final placement as well as the second and third batches' summer placements were all in consulting firms, development organizations, infrastructure, automotive, heavy engineering, and renewable energy.

How is IMS Ghaziabad for PGDM, and what are the campus placements like over there?

AV
Aman Verma Posted On : February 13th, 2023
Studied at Institute of Technology and Science (ITS)

IMS Ghaziabad is a decent choice for PGDM in case you don’t have time to re-attempt CAT and have no better options. In this case, you have to resort to giving up on top-tier colleges and choosing mediocre schools. IMS Ghaziabad is one such choice and satisfies those looking for average college life and placements.

The quality of education is good, and the courses are taught by knowledgeable faculty who are quite learned and experienced in their fields. Students get enough exposure to the corporate world.

As far as the placements are considered, the students have been posting about the terrible situation in the college and have been criticizing the system. But the reality is you get placed on the basis of knowledge and skills you have acquired in 2 years. Even a top college will not get you a good package if you did not gain the necessary knowledge and skills. So it all depends on you and not the college.

Will Someone please give me an honest review of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow for PGDM?

Sayantani Barman Posted On : July 11th, 2023

My answer is based on my sisters' experience and review who chose Jaipuriya Institute of Management Lucknow for PGDM because of its high rankings, faculty profiles, and the excellent placement scenario. Here is a review based on her experience

  1. The faculty was indeed very approachable and learned as she had expected and they were empathetic to the students' needs. Every group of students is assigned a separate mentor faculty that not helps them academically but also helps them grow as a person.
  2. The infrastructure and the campus facilities are top-notch and help in enhancing the overall learning experience.
  3. The staff members are also polite and cooperative making your college life smooth and relaxing.
  4. Students here are given fourfold placement choices so they can apply to companies coming to all the branches of the institute. The highest package was recorded at INR 16 LPA while the average package was recorded at INR 9.4 LPA

In all, Jaipuriya Institute of Management is a good choice for MBA.

What are the average cut-off marks to get admission for MBA/PGDM in NMIMS Mumbai?

JC
Jivan Chaudhary Posted On : March 14th, 2023
MBA tech Mechanical from NMIMS

If you are planning to get into NMIMS Mumbai through NMAT, it is important to keep in mind that this is the best program to aim for. The exam has both sectional cut-offs and an overall cut-off, which usually ranges from 207 to 210, but can vary every year. Therefore, it is important to focus on scoring well, especially in your strong areas, in order to maximize your score.

Individual sectional cut-offs can vary as well. For instance, the Quant section may have a cut-off of 65, while the Logic section could range from 60 to 65, and the Verbal section could range from 55 to 60. However, it is not advisable to focus solely on clearing the sectional cut-offs, as many students who do so end up missing the overall cut-off by just a few marks.

It is important to note that even if you have a very high score, it does not necessarily guarantee success in the GDPI process and final admission. There have been cases where students with high scores were not able to convert the call, while others with a score of just 208 when the cut-off was 207 were able to successfully convert the call and secure admission.

Therefore, it is important to approach the selection process holistically and focus on performing well in all aspects, including the GDPI process, in order to increase your chances of success in securing admission to NMIMS Mumbai through NMAT.
