I wish to pursue BTech CSE from LPU but I have not applied for JEE Main or LPUNEST. My class 12 score was 77%. What should I do?

A
Admin Posted On : May 20th, 2024

LPU is known for its education in computer science and engineering and BTech CSE is one of the flagship programs at LPU. Due to its excellent placement record, industry collaborations, college tie-ups and more, many candidates seek admission to BTech CSE at LPU every year.

In the BTech CSE course from LPU, you will develop the competence required for the industry through a robust curriculum and hands-on learning. You will learn about the development and design of computer hardware and software along with algorithms, programming languages and more.

To be eligible for the course, you need 60% marks in class 12. As you have scored 77%, you are already qualified for the program. You also need a valid LPUNEST, JEE Main or CUET scorecard. I would recommend you to appear in the LPUNEST exam. It is less challenging compared to JEE Main and you will be able to clear it easily. You can also avail scholarship benefits based on LPUNEST.

Can I expect admission into B.Tech CSE at LPU with 8.3 GPA in class 12th and 186 marks in LPUNEST?

A
Admin Posted On : May 17th, 2024

I am a second year B.Tech CSE student at LPU.

As per LPU’s latest admission guidelines, a student must score min. 60% aggregate marks in +2 with English, Physics and Maths to be eligible for B.Tech admissions at LPU. They must also qualify LPUNEST for admissions into B.Tech. With your 12th and LPUNEST marks, there is a decent chance of you getting admission into B.Tech CSE at LPU.

But it will depend on the final cutoff list from LPU. The University will inform you about your chances of getting into your desired stream. The competition for B.Tech CSE is always high because of a huge number of candidates who wish to opt for this program.

I would suggest you wait for the final cutoffs.

What should I do if I am receiving ‘no slot available’ after applying for the LPUNEST exam for B.Tech CSE?

A
Admin Posted On : May 16th, 2024

I am a B.Tech student at LPU, and I appeared for LPUNEST in 2022.

In case there are no slots available for the exam center of your choice, you can fill in an alternate center. If you are failing to get a slot option due to technical difficulties, make sure there are no discrepancies in your registration/application form. In case you find some, refill your form.

If your problem does not resolve even after taking these measures, I would suggest you call the university office. The admission counselors will help solve your problem. In any case, the university will call you in a day or two and guide you through the formalities. They might even give you a slot on their own. The information of the same will be given on your dashboard.

I hope I was of some help to you.
