Yes, you can get admission to LPU for the Btech CSE course with a 5047 rank. However, you will also need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of 60% in the 12th board examination with subjects such as Physics, Maths and English. Your rank in LPU will determine which category you fall under and then your percentage of scholarship on the total programme fee will be calculated.

Yes, the LPU BTech CSE syllabus includes industry visits, internships and seminars. More than 1,500 students pursued internships during my batch i.e. the session of 2021-22. We were offered stipends of up to NR 50,000 per month during internship/on-the-job training during the final year.

BTech CSE from LPU is a popular choice for students. The course curriculum is well structured and helps the students to gather knowledge about the subject. My time at LPU has been great and has helped me to gather thorough knowledge about the subject. LPU conducts a scholarship test called LPU NEST. You can sit for this exam to get a scholarship and some concession on the course fee. As of 2023, the course fee per semester for BTech in Computer Science Engineering from LPU costs Rs 1,40,000 per semester. There are a total of two semesters per year. According to the previous year’s VIT Vellore cutoff category-wise, you can get a seat in VIT Vellore in the CSE branch as you have rank under 27,000. You fall under category 4 based on the previous year’s cutoff.

As a BTech student at LPU, I can provide the first-year syllabus for BTech in CSE. The first-year syllabus generally covers foundational subjects required to develop a strong base in students to understand computer science. The year is divided into 2 semesters which are called Autumn Term and Spring Term at LPU. The syllabus for both terms is mentioned in the tables below.
