Which one is better: HBTI Kanpur (IT) or IET Lucknow (CSE)?

There isn’t any difference, when it comes to placements, between IT from HBTI Kanpur and CSE from IET Lucknow. I say this as I have friends from both the institutes. 

• HBTI provides a good name to the students who graduate from here. A good name helps students to get placed in top companies. But the HBTI charges higher fees. 
• The students have an option to change the branch after their first year in HBTI Kanpur. Thus, many students, sometimes, change their branch from IT to CSE in HBTI after they have completed their first year. The reason being the more opportunities for CSE branch students. 

Here are the recent placement highlights for HBTI.

• Average CTC - 7.18 LPA
• Highest CTC - 60 LPA
• Major recruiters - Oyo rooms, Google, Microsoft, etc. 

Though CSE at IET is one of the best branches, I will suggest you go for HBTI. You will have more opportunities there and you can also change your branch later on.
