The Mechanical Department is one of the departments at IIT Guwahati that is actively involved in research, competitions (robotics, automobile development, etc.), academics, and so on. Spread across 2.849 square kilometers, IIT Guwahati is located in the scenic Northeastern state of Assam. Students are provided with rooms with all the basic amenities. Apart from that, the hostel is equipped with sporting facilities and modes of recreation such as satellite TV, indoor games and a gymnasium. You will also find outdoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, and football. All rooms have Wi-Fi connectivity. There are separate accommodations for boys and girls.
