How is XLRI, with respect to job prospects and internships, when compared to IIMs?

It depends on which IIM you are comparing it to. Here are some review points from my few close friends who graduated from these institutes.

• XLRI is one of the top B-Schools in the nation. It is considered to be on the same level as the IIMs or even above them in the case of their HR program.
• XLRI boasts of stellar academics, a huge alumni network, and great placement records. It is a great place to kickstart your career.
• The institute is one of the best in the nation for HR program but that does not necessarily mean that the other program offered by them are not great. It has created a legacy of its own. The faculty base is unbeatable.
• They have their own test to select students. So the peer group at the institute will be quite good too.

Here’s a brief insight into the institute.

Compare XLRI to IIM A, B, C, or L. It is definitely better than the other IIMs. If you manage to convert XLRI, you should take admission, without any second thought.
