Remarks :

I took JEE Main as an entrance examination into the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. The eligibility of this course is you have to be a PCM / PCM-B student in your high school with more than 75%.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose electrical to get the hardware knowledge to get the upper hand in the software industry. For a class of 100 people, there is one faculty. Faculty are well qualified with PhD degrees from prestigious institutions. Their reading materials are really helpful. Even though exams are tough every topic is covered by the professor in the class.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities are provided by the following companies - Microsoft, JP Morgan, Google, Uber, DE Shaw and many more MNCs with finance companies like Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo etc. Hence, not only MnCs, we have our alumni everywhere.

Placement Experience :

Since the National institute of Technology Durgapur is one of the top 10 NITs in India, we have a very hard-working TNP cell. Our average package is around 16LPA. Even the core departments like metallurgy and materials science have 91% placement in our college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee per semester is 78,800+20,000 including hostel and mess. In case of financial issues, we can contact the administrative department and we can get scholarships. Since my family income is more than 11lkh, I didn't qualify for any scholarship.

Campus Life :

The annual fest would be Aarohan, Recstacy and food fests like recrave etc. The campus life is lit. We have AC and smartboards in the classroom. The library has two reading rooms and around 4 stack rooms. We have a TT board, badminton court etc. in hostels as well as on campus.

Hostel Facilities :

In hostel rooms , up until now I have been in triple sharing. We have been provided with wooden almirahs in the room with ample amount of spacing. With the ever welcoming mess people , you get good food. Every Wednesday, we have special dinners with a element of surprise which is total yumm.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

The Good college and very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good on the campus GKCIET especially trains and encourages the students to sit for internships and placements. A student is eligible to sit for the internships at the beginning of the third and placements from the beginning of the third and placements from beginning of the final year .. a student can manage to get a PPO after completing the internship in the 3 rd which is also encouraged by the student. The other criteria regarding placements and intership are quite well-defined in the GKCIET

Life in Durgapur

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the profile came to know that the professor of this college is very good for the mechanical branch the faculty and student ratio is good for the study of the student qualification of the faculty and review teacher is like that they are good in English and they no proper way of teaching the timing of the term of the exam is first exam is midterm in which the question is of 25 marks and we have to give at least 20 marks answer it is conducted after 3 months of the beginning of the course and after the midterm exam there is another in term exam.
