Remarks :
I took my JEE Mains Exam and then got my percentile of 94.7. Which later secured me the rank 47487 (CRL ) and 13007 (OBC). I applied through JOSAA and CSAB Counselling and got an Electrical Engineering seat at NIT Durgapur during the 1st Round of CSAB Counselling. You can apply JEE MAINS exam twice in a single academic year and can appear for both exams. Your best percentile will be used to calculate your final rank. You have to submit an OBC NCL certificate to avail the benefits for the Reservation Category which shall be issued in the same financial year of appearing in JOSAA counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Student-to-faculty ratio is good enough. The classes are well-maintained and mostly air-conditioned. The faculty is punctual and hardly misses any of your classes. The exams are moderate to tough in nature. You have to focus in classes and take notes which will make your exams a bit easier.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities mostly start from 3rd year and some off-campus from the end of the second year itself. You don't have many limitations of the branch if you have the desired skills required by the company. You will have enough opportunities on campus too for internships here.
Placement Experience :
The overall placement has been very good. The average package here is 13.5 LPA. The average package for different branches is CSE: 22.5 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is divided into many parts, General/OBC Income > 10LPA has to pay whole semester fees and mess fees without any scholarship. General/OBC Income > 5 LPA but < 10 LPA will have a remission of 2/3rd of semester fees. General/OBC with income < 1LPA : will have a No semester fees. Will only pay mess fees. SC/ST (No income limit ) Will have no semester fees. Will only pay mess fees.
Campus Life :
Annual Tech Fest is Arrohan. Time During February. Annual Cultural Fest is Recstacy. The time is During June-July. The classrooms are mostly air-conditioned in a new academic building. There are lots of clubs here for coding, developers, nature, dance, music, culture, and many more.
