Remarks :
Getting into IIT Madra Score high in JEE, apply online, select a preferred branch, get shortlisted, attend counselling, confirm the seat, and you're in! Study hard and enjoy campus life. JEE advanced is going to be hard though but you will figure it out.
Course Curriculum Overview :
At IIT Madras, the course stuff is pretty cool. I picked it 'cause it matches my career goals. Profs are super smart with Ph. Ds, and they teach in a fun way. The professor-to-student ratio is decent, so you get some face time. Exams are on time but a bit tough. You gotta work hard to make the grade.
Internships Opportunities :
I did my internship at Reliance Industries Limited. it was a core intern and I got it in my internship drive. We also have a research park at our campus which is a hub for all the budding startups, that provide Internships here. It's very resourceful and there are a huge number of opportunities here at IIT Madras. The stipend would be averaging around 50k per month.
Placement Experience :
Placements at IIT Madras are fantastic! Students get the chance to dive into the job market from their 6th semester onwards, and boy, the list of companies that roll in is impressive. You've got giants like Google, Microsoft, and a bunch more snatching up talent left and right. The highest packages are jaw-dropping and around 14,00,000 a month, and the average ones are nothing to scoff at either. Pretty much everyone here walks away with a sweet job offer. It's a great feeling, I tell you. As for me, I'm all set to chase my dream tech job after I get that shiny degree. The opportunities are endless, and it's an exciting ride ahead!
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So, let's talk cash! Studying at IIT Madras isn't dirt cheap, but it's worth it. Fees might vary, and they have this policy where they bump it up a bit each year. But hey, don't freak out! They've got scholarships and financial aid to help out. I managed to snag the "Bright Future" scholarship and a part-time gig on campus. It pays some bills and gives you extra pocket money. So, it's doable, even if it's a bit tight sometimes. They provide no-interest educational loans to financially struggling students that the students can pau on their own time.
Campus Life :
Life at IIT Madras rocks! We've got "Saarang" and "Shaastra" fests in Jan and Sept. The library's loaded, classrooms are top-notch, and we've got sports, clubs, and student-run groups like "Kerala Kala Samilti, Marati Mitra Mandal etc for each state ." It's a blast!
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels at IIT Madras are cool! Rooms have the basics, Wi-Fi's decent. Food's alright, but the menu gets old. Hostel reg is a breeze. If renting, the Adyar locality's nearby and affordable. You can even look for PG's near taramani and Velachery as we have a gate on both sides.
