Amazing Internship opportunity

Remarks :

Eligibility: Class 12 with PCM with minimum 75% aggregate marks Fee waiver availed through Family income criteria. Through JOSAA counseling after JEE Mains/Advanced. Pretty satisfied with the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this because I was very interested in Biotechnology and NITW has great research facilities for Biotech. The faculty-student ratio depends on the sem, right now 1st sem we have 2:15. All the faculty are very Highly qualified, PhDs from IITs or NITs or Foreign Unis, and have unique teaching styles. Exams are very timely and it is easy to pass but difficult to be in the top 10%ilers.

Internships Opportunities :

Goldman Sachs- Software Developer Engineer internship Got paid 2.5 lakhs for 2 months. She was assigned to debug some in-house applications with their in-house language. Went through 2 weeks of training and got PPO.

Placement Experience :

Eligible in 4-1 semester. Many companies including Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Unilever, etc. The placement run is still going on. Highest so far 88LPA. Avg 16LPA 96% placement rate. I'll go for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Depends on the inflation, since it is a government institute. Educational loans are easily available I received a fee waiver based on family income. I have also applied for an SBI Scholar loan. Currently, I have no job on campus.

Campus Life :

The annual fest is Springspree, and the Tech fest is Technozion. They're very very popular in south India. Springspree in March-May and Technozion in December. Apart from those we have weekly programs to provide stress-free education. NITW has the second-largest library in NITs. Classrooms have projectors, newer buildings have ACs and good-condition seats and boards. Sports are good and extracurriculars are well encouraged. Almost all clubs are run by students for students.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are old, given it is a pretty old college. But has good facilities The mess is up to standard. Very very affordable for people of any economic class. The registration process is done on the day of physical reporting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this to get a degree in computer science which I thought would be better for me. The course curriculum is good as of now. The faculty-and-student ratio is okay too. But all of the faculty here are contract-based I suppose but are of good knowledge. The faculty inspires students to gain knowledge and motivates them to be independent as much as possible. They train students to be disciplined and are strict in that term. The teachers are also well qualified and of a good experience. The term exams got postponed due to the weather conditions and state holidays but apart from that, every other exam is conducted timely. But I would blame the correction for the pass percentage of the students from the university, though you would find the paper to score well.

Great placement was there, but the packages were a bit less due to the recession. placement percent is around 98-99%. Many students go for higher studies, I am also thinking of doing MBA or preparing for UPSC. The highest packege this year was around 70-72 lpa.
