JIPMER M.Ch Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must pass M. D/ M. S/ DNB Degree from a recognized Medical Council of India.
- For Cardio-Thoracic Vascular Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Urology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, candidates must pass M. D/ M. S/ DNB Degree from a recognized Medical Council of India.
- For Surgical Oncology , candidates must have M.S./ DNB Degree in General Surgery / Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Otolaryngology (E.N.T) / Orthopaedic Surgery recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Exam Pattern
The admissions to the MCH course are based on the CBT exam. Computer Based Test (CBT) is an online examination of 1.30 hours. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions. The medium is English. There are 4 marks awarded for a correct answer and -1 is deducted for an incorrect answer, and 0 is allotted for not answering. The exam will be conducted in the English Medium only.

Ques. What is the minimum percentage required in a Computer-based Test?
Ans. Minimum 50% Marks in the entrance examination CBT is required to be eligible for admission in D.M./M.Ch. courses.

Ques. Can I get admitted to the M.Ch course at JIPMER ?
Ans. No, JIPMER does not offer direct admission to its M.Ch program. Selection to the program are based on the Entrance Test.
Ques. Is there any provision for withdrawal in the middle of the course?
Ans. In case a student wants to withdraw himself/ herself from the course, he/ she will be penalized for rupees 50,000 and the fees which the candidate had paid during admission will not be refunded.
