IIIT Hyderabad BTech Admissions 2023 are based on the JEE Main scores, UGEE, DASA, SPEC, and direct admissions are also offered through BOARDS scores. IIIT Hyderabad BTech admissions 2023 have been concluded.

IIIT Hyderabad BTech program offers a total of 210 seats. Out of which, 44 seats are reserved for students applying through the JEE Main exam, 20 seats are reserved for students acquiring seats through SPEC mode, and for students getting admission through DASA, they have around 41 seats. With this 105 seats are available through UGEE mode.

IIIT Hyderabad offers B.Tech under two specializations, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) as full-time regular courses. The programs are designed to create innovators and researchers. In addition to this, IIIT Hyderabad has also provisioned lateral entry admission and dual-degree conversion. The BTech students can convert their single degree into a dual degree program by opting for the MS By Research program.

IIIT Hyderabad BTech Eligibility Criteria

Indian Students:

• Students with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in the 12th class are eligible to apply for B.Tech.
• SC/ST category candidates will be given a mark relaxation of 10% in the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates also will have to qualify for JEE Main or SPEC to secure admission in B.Tech. 

Foreign Students:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on SAT exam scores, except for the essay part of the exam. The minimum mark required for admission is 1070/1600. 

IIIT Hyderabad BTech Admission Criteria

Admissions to the B.Tech program at IIIT Hyderabad are done through JEE Main exam score or SPEC Mode. Given below is the selection criteria for the B.Tech program at IIIT-H:

IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Selection Criteria

• Selection of the candidates who have applied through JEE Main will be done based on the JEE Main cutoff released by the institute.
• Selection of the candidates applying through SPEC mode, the selection process will be based on scores obtained in the written test and personal interview conducted by the institute.
• The IITH Admission Test consists of a Subject Proficiency Test for 60 minutes. The syllabus would be 11th and 12th subjects.

For Foreign students:

Admissions through DASA mode is through SAT scores. The primary selection criteria involve total marks in the SAT exam. Candidates successfully submitting the applications will be shortlisted for further process based on exam scores first. In the case of a tie, the candidates will then be evaluated based on marks in Evidence-based Reading and Writing (SAT) and Maths (SAT). Students tied even after the above will be given the same rank and treated on par.
