Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada offers various courses at UG and PG levels. It offers B Tech course in 6 specialisations. Admission in JNTU Kakinada is done on the basis of AP EAMCET exam conducted by JNTUK.

A candidate can acquire a seat in JNTU, Kakinada for B Tech through ranking in AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) entrance examination.

Eligibility

• Candidate must be minimum of 17 years of age with no duly upper age limit.
• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh (AP) with 10^th and 12^th from there.
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 in Science stream (M.P.C) with a minimum of 50% of marks.
• Candidate must be eligible in AP EAMCET with a quality score.

Admission Process

Selection of the candidates to B.Tech. program is done on the basis of their performance in the AP EAMCET entrance examination.

• Declaration of merit list on official university site regarding cut off of ranks by APSCHE.
• Organizing of AP EMCET counseling by APSCHE.

NOTE- While preparing the merit list, 80% weightage will be given to AP EAMCET score and 20% for Intermediate MPC subjects.

• Reservation of SC, ST, and OBC is according to rules.
• 33.3% of seats are reserved for women.
