Osmania University MA Psychology Admission 2021

Osmania University offers a full-time MA program in Psychology at the postgraduate level for a duration of two years. Candidates need to appear for CPGET (OUCET) 2021 entrance exam for admission to the course.

Osmania University MA Psychology Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates is based on the CPGET (OUCET) entrance exam. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of rank obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the university. 

Cut-off - Minimum cut-off mark for the OC/BC category in this course is 25%. There is no minimum cut-off for SC/ST candidates.

• The registration fee is submitted then by using a Credit or Debit card.

Program Structure

• Course Details: M.A Psychology has a two year's duration semester wise course structure. Some of the informations about its course structure are given below - 
  • The course has four semesters and a total of 96 credits, 24 in each semester. 
  • Every semester has five modules of core courses and four modules of elective courses.
  • The practicum of each semester consists of two parts. First part deals with theory and the second part is about conduction and demonstration. 
  • There is a seminar and field work after each semester but in the fourth year internship is included.
• Duration- 2 years with 4 semesters
• Course Schedule- Full time residential course and Distance Education 
• End Term Evaluation- The students have to do an internship at the end of the 4th semester. They basically do their internship in hospitals or counselling clinics and submit at least 5 reports on different cases. 20 marks is allotted for this. 
• Attendance Requirements- A regular course like M.A Psychology requires at least 75% attendance in all papers and it is enforced strictly by the institute. 
• Reservation Criteria- There is reservation criteria for SC/ST and BC candidates. Besides, NCC, NSS, Widow and Children of Armed Personnel, Physically handicapped students, NIQ students also can apply for reservation criteria.
