Osmania University M.Phil & Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

M.Phil- The basic eligibility is a pass in Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

Ph.D.- Master’s degree in the concerned subject or in an allied subject in Regular or Distance mode with a minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate. Or Students with M.Phil Degree (Regular mode) or Ph.D. in allied subject are also eligible to apply

Osmania University M.Phil & Ph.D. Selection Criteria

For admissions to research programs, selection is based on the merit in the eligibility test conducted by Osmania University. The eligibility test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 MCQs. The test will consist of questions on Analogies, Classification, Matching, Comprehension of a research study/experiment/theoretical point of view, etc.

Ph.D.- Admission will be offered to the candidates with a valid score in GATE/ NET/ JEST/ SET-TS/ GPAT or Ph.D. Eligibility Test conducted by Osmania University

Key Point: GATE/ NET/ JEST/ SET-TS or GPAT qualified candidates will be exempted from the Ph.D. Eligibility Test conducted by the university
