IIT Guwahati Scholarships
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) provides the scholarship to its graduate and postgraduate students for their overall growth and development of meritorious students who have passed their respective qualifying examinations. IIT Guwahati offers various scholarships under different categories such as:

Institute Scholarship
There are three scholarships under institute scholarship which is provided by IIT Guwahati to deserving candidates.

This scholarship is available for B.Tech/ B.Des/ M.Sc/ M.A students of the institute. IMS is awarded to year-wise class toppers of every stream. It involves tuition fee waiver and a fixed monthly stipend for eight months |

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (McM) |
McM is awarded to B.Des/ B.Tech/ MA/ M.Sc students on the basis of their Merit (Up to 25% of the non SC /ST). It covers tuition fee waiver and a fixed monthly stipend for eight months |

SC/ ST Scholarship |
It is awarded to all B.Tech/ B.Des/ MA/ M.Sc students of SC/ ST categories. It includes fixed monthly stipend for eight months, free messing (only for the basic menu) and hostel seat rent waiver. Tuition fee is waived for all SC/ST students by the statutes |
Other Scholarships
The institute permit students to avail scholarships awarded by outer Govt. or non Govt. organizations such as scholarships form state Govts., scholarships from private trusts and central sector scholarship schemes etc.
Assistantship
Assistantships are given to all regular students (as defined by the ordinances on these programs) in M.Tech, M.Des and PhD programs as per norms laid down by the IIT council or MHRD Govt. of India.

Fees in iit Guwahati are a little bit high because it's one of the best engineering colleges in India. I didn't get any scholarships. but iit Guwahati provides you with loans. The cost of studying here is around 4 lakh per year.

I am from the General category so I paid the full fees. but there are few concessions for other category students. Also, you will learn about many scholarships once you reach college like Altium Women's Scholarship, Kotak Kanya Scholarship, etc.

Tuition fees are one lakh per semester for general students. For SC SC students tuition is provided free of cost. Hostel and mess fee is 25100 per semester and fees include other things like brotherhood fund, college fees, etc. There are many scholarship opportunities and the college authority provides information about all the possible scholarships that students can avail.

As iitg is a govt funded institution the fees are not so high and I availed the meb(most economical backward) so my fee is 50000 per semester. I am from the general category with web application so here u can avail mcm scholarship 1000 a month and 8 months per year.

The cost to study is very normal as considered of all iits. It is nearly 12-13 lakhs for 4 years(including hostal fees) own expenses. The scholarships provided by the college is normally for SC and ST students(scholarship even for buying laptop).

Our institute IIT Guwahati has the lowest cost to study and the fee hike policy is also there for economically weaker sections At present iam in my first year so I don't get any campus placements and stipend but there are a lot of opportunities to get a stipend and some scholarships, especially for girls if you are a female then you will get more scholarships

The fee structure is very good, they mentioned all fee structures like accommodation, food, medical, swimming pool, semester fee, etc. The scholarship is also provided here for SC, The ST category is the NSP scholarship and in college provided education loans for students who need money to pay the fees here placements are also good, if we study well, we will get a job in college placements like in core side or noncore. In IIT Guwahati many companies will come to the college. we have opportunities to get a job I like this college.

The overall fee for a general candidate is approximately 11 lakhs for a btech programme. Huge fee waivers are available for reserved caste students. Campus jobs are limited but you can earn through internships that come in 2nd year, and majorly in 3rd year. I have got no job as of now.

The total fee for 1st year is eighty two thousand four hundred and fifty rupees. I am in Ews category so I got fee waiver. There are plenty of opportunities from 3rd year in our college like internships and so on . At present as I am a fresher there are no recruitments for us
