Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU) offers various UG level courses in various trades of B.Sc, B.Com, B.A., B.Ed., B.Pharm, BA(H) in Journalism & Mass Communication, B.Lib.& Info.Sc and BSW (Social Work) courses in different specializations. Admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in the CUET conducted by the NTA followed by counseling sessions by CSAB. The University also offers integrated 5-Year long BA-LLB and B.Com-LLB programs along with Diploma in a foreign language and D.Pharm courses. Admission to these courses is also based on the score in CUET whereas 50% marks as an aggregate are also required in the needful subjects depending upon the stream chosen.
GGU PG Courses:
Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU) also offers MA, M.Sc, M.Ed, MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, M.Lib.& Info.Sc & MSW. A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 50% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria. Individuals seeking admission to these courses shall have to appear in CUET.
GGU Ph.D. Admission 2023:
Along with UG and PG courses, the university also offers Doctoral programs in various specializations such as English, Lib. & Info. Sci, Journalism & Mass Communication, History, Social Work, Education Commerce, Computer Science & Information Technology, Zoology & many more.
In order to seek admission in Ph.D., candidates have to pass a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. GGU conducts VRET (Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test) to provide admission to the Ph.D. program. CSIR NET/ UGC NET or GATE qualified candidates are eligible to apply.

- Temple is the best place in campus for the Peace of mind
- Campus is very beautiful and it has 4 lakes in campus
- The Sports ground, the auditorium, the library, and the cafeteria are also very good with sufficient seats, in Library every books are their which we want,
- Our university campus is very good about 650 acres with very good infrastructure and roads with ATM inside and park's
- In Guru Ghasidas vishwavidyalaya infrastructure is very good and well designed
- Ggu campus are very good for study and there are good lighting

Dislike
- The college has acquired a nice syllabus as per MHRD rules and regulations, but the college timetable is very bad. There is a lot of wasted time.
- Yes, the college provides industrial visits, but it does not offer internships or provide any stipend for these visits.
- One or two companies came, but they gave very poor packages - around 2 or 2.5 lakh per annum. The job opportunities are very poor, almost negligible, one could say.
- For poor students whose income is less than 50,000, the fees were free. For physically disabled students, the mess fee was also free.
- The mess facility was leased to a private company during my time, and the hostel students would often be seen fighting with the mess workers over the quality of food and the limited menu.
- It takes some time to start classes after vacation as there is a lack of faculty. The problem needs to be solved. There is a lack of classrooms, which results in very bad class timings for some semester students.
