GGU Ph.D: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is one of the Chhattisgarh largest and oldest institutions of higher education and a central university located in Bilaspur. It was established on June 16, 1983. It is certified by NAAC as B+ University.

University invites applications for the research courses (Ph.D.) in which interested candidates can get admission through Vishwavidyalya Research Entrance test (VRET).

Candidates can submit the application form through offline mode and the interested candidates can download the application form from the university website.

For application form candidates have to submit the application fee of Rs. 600/- and Rs. 250/- (for SC/ST/PwD candidates) through DD.

GGU PhD Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess masters degree in any discipline or in related discipline by this university or any other recognized university with minimum CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale or 55% aggregate marks.

GGU PhD Reservation

Hostel:-

1. University provides hostel accommodation to both boys and girls.
2. University is having total two hostels one each for boys and girls separately.
3. Hostels will be allotted to the candidates according to the priority based.
4. First priority will be given to those who were admitted during previous academic session.
5. Second priority is given to those admitted to a full time program and coming from outside Bilaspur.

GGU PhD Admission Process

Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of Vishwavidyalya Research Entrance test (VRET) conducted by the university.

How To Apply?

University invites applications for admission to the various courses through Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test.

• Application forms must be obtained from the official university website “www.ggu.ac.in”.
• Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling up application form.
• Filled in application form can be submitted through two modes i.e. offline and online.

Offline Mode:

• Candidate must submit online application form by visiting the university website “www.ggu.ac.in”.
• Candidates can obtain the online application form by submitting the fee of amount Rs. 600/- and Rs. 250/- (for candidates belong to SC/ST/PwD category candidates)
• Candidate have to submit fee through DD issued by any nationalized/sbank or SBI challan in favour of “The Registrar, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya,” payable at bilaspur.
• Candidates must have to submit the application form along with the following documents through Speed/Registered Post/Courier/ Ordinary post/by hand:
