AIIMS Delhi PhD Admissions 2023 will open soon for July session. Admission to the program is based on the Ph.D. entrance exam conducted by the institute. The PhD entrance exam for admission to AIIMS Delhi PhD program will be held on July 7, 2023. The results for the exam will be released on July 12, 2023. A Departmental Assessment of qualified conducted will be conducted soon after the results. The final result based on will be released soon after the completion of Departmental Assessment.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi offers a Doctorate in Philosophy in Medicine and Allied Sciences. The institute offers Ph.D. programs under 34 departments. Fellowship to the students is provided. However, there are only fewer seats available for fellowship. Other candidates can take the project under their own fellowship offered by the government.
The duration of the course is considered from the date of registration to the submission of the thesis. The minimum duration for the submission of a thesis is three years. The maximum duration can be extended up to 5 years after which written permission from Dean is required for a further extension of 6 months. Failing to submit a thesis within the stipulated time will lead to the cancellation of candidature.

AIIMS Delhi Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria
The Doctor of Philosophy is provided to the candidates pursuing any of the below-mentioned qualifications:
- Candidates who have completed MBBS/BDS with 55% or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch in the subjects concerned from the institutes recognized by The Medical Council of India.
OR
- Candidates completed M.sc in Nursing with an aggregate of 55 percent are eligible for the Ph.D. program in the specialty of Nursing at the AIIMS institute.
OR
- Candidates from Non-Medical background (M.Tech/BAMS/ M.sc) have to score at least 60% aggregate in the last qualifying examination. The non-medical candidates must have appeared for any of these National Entrance exams in the last two years- Joint CSIR-UGC NET, ICMR-JRF, ICMR-SRF, DBT-JRF, GATE, NBHM Screening test and INSPIRE Fellowship.

How to Apply?
The steps for doing registration are:
- Open the official website of AIIMS, New Delhi.
- On the Home page, visit the section of ‘Academic Courses’.
- Under the registration section, click on the Ph.D. program.
- Under ‘New Registration’, read all the mentioned guidelines.
- Keep the registration ID and password details for future reference.
- Re-login and complete all the steps of the registration process.
- Make payment via Debit/Credit card/ Internet Banking.
- Upload the image and signature and fill in all the other details.
- Print the registration form for further references.

AIIMS Delhi Ph.D. Entrance Exam
The entrance exam is conducted in three stages. Candidates who manage to score at least 50% marks are eligible for admission. The examination is conducted via online (CBT) mode.
Candidates qualifying the stage I need to undergo the Departmental Assessment. Students must upload their self-attested documents/certificates in regards to Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Category, etc.

The counseling for the candidates will be done on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate. The candidate who has opted for Own Fellowship will be allowed to appear for seats both of OF and FA seats.

AIIMS Delhi Ph.D. Stipend
AIIMS offers no such direct placements to campus students. However, the institute has started providing internships to the students in various hospitals and even in AIIMS also. The stipend varies according to the department. Some departments do not pay any stipend and have a process of registration and fee payment for the internship program. However, in some courses, the stipend provided is INR 23500.
