IGNOU PGDHIVM Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for admission to the PG Diploma in HIV Medicine (PGDHIVM) program at IGNOU, candidates must hold a MBBS degree from a recognised university or institute.

IGNOU PGDHIVM Selection Criteria

About 60-70 percent of the seats for this program will be filled through sponsorship by NACO. For the 1st Year, selection will be done on the basis of a merit list prepared by Respective Regional Centre as per following guidelines.

First preference will be given to those having a MD degree. More weightage could be given to those in Medicine/ Obstetrics and Gynaecology/ Paediatrics/ PSM/ Microbiology.
Second preference will be given to those having a recognised Diploma degree.
Third preference will be given to those having experience in HIV/ AIDS.

IGNOU PGDHIVM Assignments

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.

Ans. Assignments of this programme will be available on IGNOU’s website. Students can download their assignments from the same.

Ques. Can I opt for the digital copies of the study materials?

Ans. The University has digitized the study material for different programs. The digitized material is available on eGyankosh, the digital repository of the University.

The University also encourages the use of digital study material. It has been decided that as an incentive, 15% concession shall be given to the students who opt for digital study material in place of printed study material.

Ques. What would make me ineligible for the Term-End Practical Examination?

Ans. Not meeting any of the following criteria will make a student ineligible for the Term-End Practical Examination:

Passed in all the continuous evaluations (of all 2 courses) conducted by the PSC
Attended all practical spell/ contact sessions in the PSC, and the 30 working days training in ART centre for non-sponsored candidates
Having 100% attendance in all practical spell/ contact sessions

NOTE:

Registration fee of Rs 300/- (Non-refundable) is to be paid at the time of admission in addition to the programme fee given in the following table. University Development fee of Rs 200/- is to be paid at the time of admission in addition to the programme fee
Registration fee of Rs 500/- (Non-refundable) is to be paid at the time of application in addition to the programme fee given in the following FLIP (Fixed Learning Intake Programme): PGDMCH, PGDGM, PGDHHM, PGDHIVM, DNA, PGCMDM
