CSE at IIIT Vadodara is definitely a better option than CSE at Nirma University.

• Nirma University offers Computer Engineering while IIT Vadodara offers CSE which draws a fine line of difference for the CSE aspirants.
• IIIT Vadodara provides a distinguished course and curriculum. Students in other colleges are exposed only to mainstream engineering subjects. In contrast to them, IIIT Vadodara is parallel to that of IIIT-H, offering core courses from the beginning of the first year itself.
• IIIT-V provides students with an exceptional background in coding which is not likely presented at Nirma. Students take part in competitive coding on sites such as HackerRank, CodeChef, etc. Each year several students get selected for GSoC from IIIT-V.
• The faculty here is highly qualified with most of the professors holding Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutes. They are cooperative and provide proper guidance to the students. Daiict is the mentor institute of IIIT Vadodara. Many faculties pay their visit from Daiict.
• The placement opportunities are decent at IIIT-V. Students get internship opportunities from Atos, TCS, etc.
• In spite of not owning a permanent campus, the facilities provided at IIIT-V are satisfactory. The basic requirements such as proper AC labs and classrooms are fulfilled here.
• IIIT-V is known for conducting regular technical workshops.
• The hostel facilities at IIIT-V are better in comparison to other colleges.
• More importance is given to academics due to which co-curricular activities are few.

The ‘IIIT’ tag has influence therefore opting for IIIT Vadodara would be better than opting for Nirma University.

The placements at Nirma University for B. Tech (CE) are quite great. The university can be your gateway to accessing companies like Microsoft. However, securing a good placement also depends a lot on your skills too.

So, there are better options than Nirma for a CSE course, however, if you are not getting admission at these institutes, Nirma will be a good alternative.
