HPU M.Sc: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

HPU M.Sc Admission 2023 is going to begin soon. Admission to its HPU M.Sc courses is based on the candidates’ performance in the HPU NEST examination. The university offers a two-year full-time M.Sc. course with 10 specializations. Aspirants seeking admission must have to score a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their graduation from a relevant stream. HPU has also a dedicated Training & Placement cell which helps the students to get placed in their desired companies. HPU M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria

• Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program should have passed a Bachelor Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education, either in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fisheries Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology.
• Or, 4 years B.S. (Physician Assistant Course) or Medicine (M.B.B.S.) or B.D.S. from any Institute/ University recognized by the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla/ University Grant Commission, New Delhi with at least 55% marks for general and other categories and 50% for SC/ ST category candidates.

HPU M.Sc Admission Guidelines

Candidates seeking admission into the M.Sc program must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as main subjects during 12th. In addition, students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (general category) in B.Sc. along with a valid score in HPU NEST. HPU NEST is an aptitude test consisting of quantitative, logical reasoning, data interpretation as well as general knowledge which are of multiple-choice type questions.

Also, Foreign students residing in India and having valid student visas can seek admission in their respective programs. 

How to Apply?

To apply online for HPU MSc admissions, one must follow the below mentioned steps:

• Visit the university website.
• Scroll the Page and click on the “Online Application” option.
• Click on the “Admission” option.
• Choose the program and click on the program name.
• Before clicking on the program please click on the instructions for filling an online application form, a pdf file will be open, kindly read it carefully.
• Click on the program name for which you are willing to apply.
• Kindly check the terms and conditions. After that, you will be redirected to the personal information page.
• Please fill in the personal information first. 
• After filling in the personal information click on the Save button at the last of the page.
• The system will generate the Unique Registration number and the password will be sent to the registered email and mobile number. Note it down.
• Now click on the “Move to next step” button.
• Fill in your education details and attach all the necessary documents.
• Now click on Submit. You will be directed to the fee payment page.
• Pay the required application fee.
• Submit the application form.
• Take the printout of the application form and keep it for future reference.

3. Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)

HPU M.Sc Course details

The M.Sc program consists of 4 semesters each of six (6) months followed by examinations both written and practical, conducted at the end of each semester. 

• Written examinations are conducted on the subjects taught in each semester and consist of both short questions and descriptive ones. 
• Practical examinations are conducted in the respective laboratories. Students must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each subject to clear individual semester examinations. 
• Both written and practical examinations are of total three hours duration. Final semesters are mostly project-based. Those marks are awarded based on the projects designed.
• The syllabus of each specialization of MSc. courses will have unique and diversified subjects curated to train and make the students expertise in their fields.

HPU M.Sc Scholarship
