Campus recruitment opportunities were limited due to the conditions in Jammu and Kashmir. However, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), and Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) conducted recruitment drives, mainly targeting Mechanical Engineering students. Additionally, four students from the Civil Engineering department were successfully placed.
The recruitment process involved three stages: initial selection based on CGPA for group discussion, participation in the group discussion, and a final interview. The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) scholarship provides financial assistance, awarding 75,000 rupees to eligible students. Applicants with a household annual income of less than 8 lakh rupees are typical candidates.
This scholarship is particularly significant for students from financially weaker backgrounds, as it helps reduce the burden of high tuition fees.
