Candidate must be pass in (10+2) from J&K Board of School Education or any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Admission Based on JEE-Mains.
Course Details
The university offers admission into B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Ed, LLB, BA LLB undergraduate programmes for which admission is granted on the basis of entrance or merit in the qualifying examination.
The university also offers Lateral admission into the B.Tech programme.
Eligibility Criteria

| B.Tech | Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized board in science stream |
| B.Tech (Lateral Entry) | Candidates must have completed a three years diploma with 50% marks or B.Sc. graduate with mathematics as a compulsory subject with 50% marks from the recognized University. |
| B.Pharm | 10+2 examination with Biology as a subject |
| BA LLB | 10+2 examination in any discipline from the recognized university |
| LLB | Graduation in any discipline |
| B.Ed | Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university with minimum 45% marks |
Note: The B.Tech programme is offered under three specialisations namely - Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Selection Criteria
- Selection into the B.Tech programme is on the basis of JEE Main
- Selection into the LLB programme is on the basis of KUET entrance exam.
- Selection into the B.Ed, B.Pharm. BA. LLB. is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
