Kashmir University provides several scholarships under different categories such as:
Merit scholarship is awarded to the candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in last qualifying exams or entrance exam score. The scholarship is awarded to top two merit holders.
There are four scholarships in each Research Centre awarded for carrying out research leading to the award of Ph.D./ M.phil. In addition to this, it also payable annually for meeting miscellaneous expenses.
Kashmir University has also a scheme namely ‘Students Aid’, under this scheme a financial assistance is extended to candidates, especially meritorious students who come for low income groups. The Kashmir University Alumni Association also provides financial assistance to students with a poor economic background with preference being given to students who are orphans.
