Jain University MBA Highlights 

Jain University MBA Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must hold a graduation degree with an average minimum of 50% marks in any subject or should have passed an examination holding equivalent value (10+2+3 pattern).

A relaxation of 5% marks is offered in the qualifying examination to the students belonging to SC/ST categories.

Jain University MBA Selection Process:

Admission to all the courses is based on the marks in Jain Entrance Test (JET) followed by an interview. Apart from JET, CAT/ KMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT or XAT qualified candidates can also apply for admission to an MBA program. In case of M.Tech, students with a valid score in GATE or Karnataka PGCET can also apply for admission.

Eligibility: Candidate must hold a graduation degree in Mathematics / Business Mathematics/ Statistics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Application from a recognized university.

Selection Criteria: Score in Karnataka PGCET or JET followed by an interview

Jain University offers a B.Tech program in various disciplines for the duration of four years. The electives offered in the B.Tech program are as follows:

Eligibility and Important Dates for Jain University B.Tech Program

Important Dates- The Phase 1 exam for B.tech will happen on March 30-31, 2023. Students can book the slot for the JET Exam till one week before the exam.

Eligibility:

B.Tech: Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Biology as an optional subject from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 60% marks (55% for reserved category candidates).

B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Diploma in relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution (approved by DTE) with an aggregate of at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST Categories).

Selection Criteria:

B.Tech: JET or Uni-GUAGE followed by Counselling.

B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Merit Based.

Key Notes:

• For B.Tech Regular admissions, International Baccalaureate students should get 30 credits to qualify for the course.
• Cambridge students must study at A level (advanced level) including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• NIOS Candidates are also eligible to apply.

Exam Pattern of JET (B.Tech): JET is divided into two sections. Section I is related to the questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology and Section II is related to candidates’ skills in English. The total duration of the test is two hours and 30 minutes.

Eligibility:

Candidate must hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in the respective discipline from a recognized university with 50% (45% for SC/ST).

Selection Criteria:

• Jain Entrance Test (JET) and Personal Interview
• GATE appeared candidates will be exempted from Entrance Test
• Candidates with a valid test score of any State Level Entrance are exempted from JET

Note: Gate Qualified students are eligible for Scholarship (50% of the 1st year Tuition fee, 1 seat per branch) and the same to be continued if the candidate score more than 60% in 1st year

Jain University offers B.Sc, BBA, BA, BMS, BCA, LL.B & B.Com programs in various specializations in Regular and Honors modes.

Jain university Eligibility and Important Dates for UG courses:

Important Dates - The Jain University JET Exam for admission to UG courses will commence from March 30 – March 31, 2023. Students can book the slot for JET 2022-23 till one week before the exam. 

Eligibility-

B.Sc: 10+2 pass candidates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for these courses. 

B.Des: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% in any stream and should have a primary grasp of English.

B.Com (Hons)/ B.Com/ B.Com (Professionals)/ Cooperate BBA/ BBA/ BBA (Professionals): 10+2 in Commerce stream.

BA/ BA (Hons.): 10+2 from a recognized.

BCA: Candidate must have passed 10+2 Science or Commerce with Maths/Statistics/Computer Science/Information Practice as one of the core subjects in PUC / ISC / CBSE or an equivalent board. 

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination and scores in JET.

B.Sc/ B.Sc (Hons.)/ BCA (Elective): Merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by Jain University.

BCA: Merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by Jain University.

B.Des: A valid score in UCEED or JET Design Exam.

B.Com (Hons): Merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by Jain University.

BA/ BA (Hons.): Merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by Jain University.

Eligibility: 

M.Sc: Candidate must hold a graduation degree in the related discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate

M.Des: Must have graduation in a 4-year degree program with 50% marks in Engineering, Fine and Applied Arts, MBBS, etc. Also, students should have studied English as a mandatory subject. 

M.Com: 50% marks in the relevant graduate program.

Selection Criteria: 

M.Sc: Score in JET and interview.

M.Des: CEED/JET With Portfolio Review and Personal Interview.

Admission to M.Com, MA, and LLM courses is based on the marks in the qualifying examination and performance in JET followed by an interview.

LLM: LLB from a recognized university with 50% marks or equivalent.

Note: Students applying under the category of Working Professionals need to submit the Work Experience letter at the time of admission.

Jain University offers Ph.D. programs at the Doctorate level in various specializations. Students with a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. Admission is granted on the basis of university-based entrance followed by evaluation of Statement of Purpose and interview.

Eligibility:

Ph.D.: Master’s degree with 55% (50% for SC/ST) in the relevant discipline Or CA/ ACS/ ICWA degree OR M.Phil degree holders can also apply for admission to the Ph.D. program.

Selection process:

Ph.D.: University-level entrance and interview Or CSIR/ UGC NET or JRF qualified candidates need to appear in the interview round only.

Key Point: NRI/ Foreign and PIO candidates can also apply for admission to Ph.D. courses. Such students will be considered under the category of international students.
