KLE University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The following is the eligibility criteria one must possess in order to apply for the Ph.D. program-

• For Faculty of Medicine - The interested candidate must hold a M.Sc. degree in Anatomy/ Biochemistry/ pharmacology/ physiology/ pathology/ microbiology/ with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks are eligible.
• For Faculty of Dentistry – The interested candidate must hold a master’s degree – MD/MS with a minimum aggregate score of 50% of marks from KLE University or any other recognized/known university.
• For Faculty of Ayurveda – The interested candidate must hold a master/PG degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks from KLE University or any other known university.
• For Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences - The interested candidate must hold a Master’s degree – M. Pharm with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks from a recognized/known university.
• For Faculty of Physiotherapy – The interested candidate must hold a Master’s degree in the related stream with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks from a recognized/known university.
• For Faculty of Nursing – The interested candidate must hold a Master’s degree – M.Sc. in Nursing with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks from a recognized/known university.
• For Faculty of Science - The interested candidate must hold a Master’s degree – M.Sc. with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks from a recognized/known university.

The selection procedure of the candidates is based on the merit/scores obtained in the Entrance Examination and on the performance of the candidates during the interview.

How to apply?

• The KLE admission is done through Online Mode.
• The interested candidate must download the prescribed online application form from the authorized official university website or directly from the institute. 
• Further, the candidate must submit the prescribed original documents along with two sets of attested photocopies of documents.
• Next, an entrance examination - Pre-Ph.D. and an interview round are conducted by the Ph.D. Admission Committee of the KLE University.
• The selection procedure of the candidates is based on the merit/scores obtained in the Entrance Examination and on the performance of the candidates during the interview.
• Finally, a merit list of the shortlisted or selected candidates is released.
• After the verification of documents and payment of the admission fee, the admission of the candidate is finalized.

Note- 

1. The candidates admitted at KLE University must renew their admission every year along with paying the tuition fees.
2. The candidate must have completed 17 years of age by the first day of December of the year of admission.
