BAMU PhD Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for PhD admission at BAMU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from any recognised University
• Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates)
• SET/NET/JRF qualified candidates will be given preference for admission
• Other Candidates must qualify for the PET conducted by the University.

BAMU PhD Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to PhD must clear the PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university. Those who have valid scores SET/NRF/NET are be exempted from the PET Examination. The university will shortlist candidates on the basis of PET or entrance exam scores. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to appear for a personal interview round. For the final selection, a merit list will be released by the university on the basis of performance in the entrance exam, interview, academic qualification, etc.

BAMU admission process is Online. The online application form submission has to be done in online mode only by visiting the official website of BAMU. The application fee of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/ST) has to be paid through online mode only. The application process is as follows:

• Upload scanned photograph and signature
• Upload supporting documents
• Pay application fee of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/ST candidates) through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card
• Submit the application form
• Take a print out of it

BAMU PhD Course Details

The PhD Program at BAMU is a full-time course of the duration of three years. The course is available in BAMU in various disciplines. The PhD programs at BAMU consist of Coursework, Pedagogy, Qualifying examination, Research Proposal and Thesis Work.

BAMU PhD Duration: the duration of the PhD Program is of 3 years.

End term Evaluation: the end-term evaluation will be based on the assessment of the mid-term report, interview, implementation of the research proposal and submission of the thesis work.

BAMU PhD Reservation

Reservation of seats for backward classes are as follows:-

• 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped seats from respective categories.
• 2 seats are reserved for the son/ daughter/ wards of freedom fighter/ serviceman/ Ex-serviceman
• 20% over and above quota reserved for foreign students.
• One seat is reserved for children of martyrsoldiers/ officers of kargil.
• 2 seats are reserved for son/ daughter/ wards of employee migrated from outside of university region. They should be employee of central government/ public sector corporations.
• One seat is reserved for students who represent the university at national level/ debate competition and youth festival.
