IIT Bombay BTech Admission 2024
There are various stages for the IIT Bombay BTech selection criteria, the stages are as follows:
- JEE Main
- JEE Advanced
- JoSAA counselling
Stage 1: JEE Main: The primary admission criteria for IIT Bombay BTech program is the JEE Advanced score based on which the candidates are called for JoSAA counselling. Before appearing for the JEE Advanced exam, the candidates need to clear JEE Main exam which works as a screening test in the whole process. Stage 2: JEE Advanced: The second stage in the process of selection is the JEE Advanced exam score. The candidates who qualify for the JEE Main exam are then required to take JEE Advanced exam. Once the exam is over, the candidate is then shortlisted for the JoSAA counselling based on the cut off percentile.
Stage 3: JoSAA Counselling: Candidates seeking admission in the BTech program of IIT Bombay are required to undergo JoSSA registration and counselling confirming the IIT Bombay in the choice of the institute (online). Thereafter, a rank list is released by JoSAA for different categories.

- The candidate can visit the official site of JoSAA to apply for the B.Tech program at IITs.
- The candidates need to enter the academic and JEE scores.
- In choice filling, you can choose your desired IIT institute. JoSAA allocates your desired institute based on your merit and overall rank.
- To get the desired IIT institute, the candidate should come under the cut off range of the desired institute or decided by JoSAA.
- Register for JEE Advanced exam.
- Enter the personal, academic details and upload Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph and Signature.
- Pay the application fee through Debit card/ Credit card/ Net banking/ UPI/ PAYTM by following the online instructions.
- After successful payment, print the Confirmation Page and keep it for future reference.
Documents required:
- Scanned copies of academic details.
- Scanned passport size photograph of the candidate in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb).
- Scanned clear signature of the candidate in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb).
