Candidates can fill the application form online through the university website by logging-in through their credentials as generated by the system upon successful registration. After filling the form, candidates can pay the application fee online through internet banking or Debit/Credit Card. Students can also submit the application fee through demand draft (DD).

Male candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of Rs. 500/- (for online applications) and Rs. 550/- (for manual applications). As walk-in candidate for test, an application fee of Rs. 800/- must be submitted.

Female candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of Rs. 100/- (for online & manual applications). As walk-in candidate for test, an application fee of Rs. 200/- must be submitted.
Students can also obtain applications through post by sending a request letter for application form along with a self-addressed stamped envelope superscribed "GS-2016 (Subject)" to the university office.

Candidates can submit the application fee for the above courses (except Ph.D. in biology) through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favour of "Tata Institute of Fundamental Research" payable at Mumbai. In case of Ph.D. in biology, DD should be made in favour of "National Centre for Biological Science" and payable at Bangalore
In case of offline applications, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with the DD, necessary enclosures and two passport size photographs to the following address:

Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% of marks in core subjects

Biology- Bachelor’s in Basic Science (Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology/ Mathematics) or Bachelor in any 4-year degree program.
Wildlife Science- Bachelor’s in any discipline with interest in Wildlife.

The selection of the program will be based on the entrance exam conducted by TIFR.
After qualifying the exam the candidates are shortlisted based on the interview.
