TIFR M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Biology- Bachelor’s in Basic Science (Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology/ Mathematics) or Bachelor in any 4-year degree program.
• Wildlife Science- Bachelor’s in any discipline with interest in Wildlife.

TIFR M.Sc Selection Criteria

• The selection of the program will be based on the entrance exam conducted by TIFR.
• After qualifying the exam the candidates are shortlisted based on the interview.

TIFR Integrated M.Sc.+ Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

1. Biology- Bachelor’s in any Basic Science or a degree in B.V.Sc. / B.Pharma. /B.Tech. / B.E.
2. Physics- A degree in M.Tech./M.E./B.S./B.Sc./B.E./ B.Chem./B.Tech. in Physics or Engineering Physics, or corresponding degree. Any other degree in a program of at least 3 years in duration in Science / Medicine / Engineering.
3. Chemistry-A degree in B.S. / B.Pharm./B.Sc. or a corresponding degree.
4. Mathematics- The candidate must have a degree in B.Sc. / B.Tech. / B.A. /B.E.

TIFR Integrated M.Sc.+ Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• The selection of the program will be based on the entrance exam conducted by TIFR.
• After qualifying the exam the candidates are shortlisted based on the interview

TIFR Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

1. Chemistry- A degree in B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Pharm or M.Sc. or a corresponding degree.
2. Mathematics- A degree in any one of the following - M.A/ M.Tech. / M.Sc.
3. Science- A degree in any subject in M.Sc./ M.Tech or a Master’s degree in M.S.W./ M.A. in any of the disciplines Psychology/ Linguistics/ Anthropology/ Economics/ Sociology/ Sociology/ Behavioural Sciences or M.Ed with an undergraduate degree in Social Science/ Humanities/ Science.
4.  Physics- A degree in M.Sc. / M.S. in physics or a corresponding degree with a duration of at least 5 years.
5. Biology- A degree in M.Sc. Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Physics/ any division of Biology or a Master’s degree in a professional course or a degree in a program that is more than 4 years in length.
6. Computer Science and System Studies- A degree in B.E ./ B.Tech./M.Sc. / M.C.A./ M.E. / M.Tech. or corresponding degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and communication Engineering or associated branches.

TIFR Ph.D. Selection Criteria

1. The selection is based on the entrance exam conducted by the college. The candidates who are shortlisted are then called for the interview based on which they are selected for various programs.
2. Along with the entrance exam, admission in some of the courses of chemistry, physics, and biology; the scores obtained in NET/ JEST/GATE are also applicable.
3. The admission for biology is done by TIFR GS 2021 also known as Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences and all the participating institutions consider the score secured in this exam for admission.
4. The candidate is required to apply separately for the chosen institution for admission.
5. The students who have scored well in the GATE exam in subjects like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mathematics, and Electrical can directly apply for admission to the Ph.D. program and are exempted from appearing in the TIFR entrance exam.
6. In case a student has given both the exam the best score out of the two examinations will be considered.
