MBA (Part-time and Full Time) Candidates who opt for admission into any of the MBA programs must have passed Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institute Candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in order to become eligible for this course The selection in the MBA programme is on the basis of CUET PG Entrance Examination followed by group discussion and Interview.

Pondicherry University Selection Process

The selection for the MBA course is completely based on the CUET PG exam. Candidates will be shortlisted through CUET PG score followed by counseling where group discussion and personal interview will be considered.

CUET PG Exam

Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate), also known as CUET PG, is a national-level entrance exam administered by NTA for admission to more than 40 Central and other participating universities. The CUET PG is held once a year in 554 Indian cities and 13 foreign cities. The exam duration is two hours and it is computer-based. The exam was formerly known as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test until last year (CUCET). 

Eligibility Criteria.

  • There is no age limit for candidates. Candidates must, however, meet the age requirements of the university to which they wish to be admitted.
  • Candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree/equivalent examination are eligible to take the CUET (PG) test. 

CUE PG Exam Pattern

  • The mode of the exam would be a Computer-based test which is of 2 hours duration.
  • It is conducted in Bilingual Mode.
  • The number of questions will be 100 which will further be divided into two parts, Part A and Part B, both the parts comprising 25 and 75 MCQs respectively.
  • Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
  • The candidate will get 04 (four) marks for correct response.
  • 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score for incorrect answers.
  • Unanswered/unattempted responses will be given no marks.

Before applying for another course the candidates may ensure that there is no “overlap of entrance exams among the courses to which they have applied”. If the candidate could not take the entrance exam for the particular course(s), due to such overlapping, then the university will not be responsible.
  • Application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST) to be paid online by following the instruction available on the University website in case of MBA and Ph.Dprogramme. In case of PG Diploma programme, application fee of INR 600/- to be paid in case of General Category and INR 300/- in case of SC/ST category
  • After proper filling of the application form online and payment of fee online, the candidate can download their printable application from the university website by following instructions therein.
  • The Hall Ticket will be uploaded by the University after closing of the application registration process.
