Candidates seeking admission into the Ph.D. course must have to complete their Master’s degree in a relevant stream with a minimum of 65% as an aggregate. A relaxation of 5% in marks is given to the candidates belonging to the ST/SC/OBC category.

Research Activities
Research activities in the university are funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), The State Government, and other agencies. The All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRPs) are 75.25% funded by ICAR and the State. Research projects from other agencies are fully sponsored by ICAR under the Ad-hoc scheme. State plan projects that focus on need-based research are funded by the State Government.
