Selection Process

Selection for the UG courses is merit-based i.e. it depends on the marks secured in the qualifying exam. Thus, candidates with higher marks in their 10+2 exams will have a better chance of getting admission.

But, for B.Sc Agriculture aspirants must appear for the BEEE entrance exam and admission is based on the rank secured.

Eligibility

For B.Tech admissions, candidates need to have a minimum 50% score in 10+2 aggregate in Mathematics, Physic & Chemistry. For Bioengineering departments, aspirants need a minimum of 50% in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. 

For lateral entry applicants, a diploma with 50% aggregate or B.Sc in mathematics or equivalent is a must.

Selection Process:

Tech aspirants need to appear for the BEEE entrance test with selection based on the rank secured in the said entrance exam.

Admission to PG courses is on the basis of merit that is based on marks secured in a bachelor's degree.

For M.Com, M.Sc, and MA, admission is based on merit meaning that it is based on the score in qualifying examination.

The selection for MCA and MCA (Lateral) is based on the rank secured in BEEE.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the M.Tech course candidates must have a B.E or B.Tech degree with a minimum 60% aggregate score or equivalent GPA.

Eligibility

 M.Phil aspirants must have a minimum of 55% in a Master’s degree or the relevant discipline. Ph.D. candidates need to have a Master’s or M.Phil degree in a relevant stream with a minimum of 55% aggregate. Eligibility for MS is based on research.

Selection Criteria

For M.Phil and Ph.D. the selection is done on the basis of a specific written test based on specialization and interview conducted by the institute. MS selection is merit-based.
